Also, I don't know why you are so neutral to the idea of marraige Sandlynn, and correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't weddings in general a sweet thing? That's pretty much it for me; I just want that sweet moment for LL. I won't die if the show ends with them in a committed relationship, but you can't deny that a wedding is a magical moment, a celebration of two people's love for each other. We want that magical moment for LL, and that doesn't mean we think they are nothing as a couple without the "piece of paper". Geez, if everyone thought of marraige as a piece of paper, the world would be a boring and sad place.

If the LL marraige happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't. Personally, if this is the last season, GG is better off without the wedding. But, there's nothing wrong with JJs putting a lot of emphasis on a possible wedding. Weddings and marraiges are special.

Exactly. I see Luke working towards this and I think that Lorelai will start to very soon. I would like to see Luke not let Lorelai run away and for Lorelai to not let Luke get his tunnel vision POV. That is what their story is. They have to overcome a lot, but they will decide that it is worth it because they love each other and they want to be together. Love isn't just some feeling that hits you. It's not always that warm and fuzzy feeling. Sometimes you have to make the choice to love the person you're with. I think that is the point of LL's story.

I agree and I hated that, Luke was sleeping at the CS more than ever, we hardly saw the apartment and then he was GONE, only after Lorelai found out and Rory had gone did we see Luke back in her bed.

Just thank God we have not had a "family breakfast" with Rory yet, the "we got married" dinner was bad enough with the OOC Lorelai cooking SNAILS, she can't or hates cooking and she hates snails.

Still think Lorelai's going to end up alone, and happy with it. She's been furiously trying to fill the hole Rory left in her life with men since Rory went to school, Jason became Luke became Chris.

She's never been alone in her life, not really, and I think that's what scares her most. She's never really been single. She always had Rory as her copilot to go through life with. She's been furiously chasing this image in her head of what she thinks is going to make her happy, her *whole package*. But it's just this idealized image she's dreamed up, not real life played out with someone. To me the point is maybe that's not what's going to make her happy, maybe it's Lorelai finally being at peace and happy with herself. Something she's never done.

I hope that Lorelai does end up being at peace and happy, but I think she will also get her whole package but not the way she originally fantasized about it (with Christopher). I think it was in "Christopher Returns' that Luke tells her she was going to get her "whole package". When she questioned him how he knew, he told her very confidently and adamantly that she will. This can been seen as an anvil that she will get her "whole package" but in a different wrapping (With Him!!).

Nice spec, but as I said it all depends what ep it was for, is it possible they were wrong and it's not for 13, maybe it was for 11 or 12? We know Richard collapses end of 12, so maybe what ever scene it's for is not 13.

New Spec, it's for 11 or 12, Gigi is back and C&L take her without Rory to FND near the end of 11, Rory is back at Yale after the holiday's. It's just it doesn't seam to fit 13.

But that's kinda my point. She thinks there's no way the crazy cat lady could possibly be happy. That to be happy she has to have this *whole package* she tells Luke about in TLHCD as Mimi. But the pursuit of and fleeting moments she's gotten it haven't made her truly happy. I think, because she's not totally comfortable, happy and at peace with herself. Which is part of what the jokes are about. Covering pain.

Lorelai shouldn't be pursuing her *package* as a goal, but peace & happiness. Out of those will flow contentment, either with a partner or without. But she's going at this backwards. She's using men to try to fill holes in her life. She needs to fill those holes herself.

BTW, I'm not terribly fluent in ASP pronoucements, but did she say Lorelai would fall in love with Luke, I know that's true. Or did she say she would fall in love, marry & make a life with him? They're two different things.

I always thought that was part of the plan for Lorelai. To work through her issues so that she could finally be in a good relationship. I don't think that all of her issues need to be worked out alone. Some of them are things that she will only be able to put into practice while in a relationship.

Well she did say something like these were bumps on the way to the altar, I guess after Lorelai let go of Luke's bumper she got a ride with Chris' Volvo?

caf123, I'd assume it was 7.13 because the guide said the scene was shot right before Christmas and the tape marks were still on the floor. Unless they were re-shooting a scene from 7.12, it was 7.13.

Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to get the pictures up until this weekend, because I am on vacation and don't have the cables to get my digital photos onto the computer.

A few more tidbits from my tour (before I forget

)
- We passed Christopher's house, and the guide said that he got to watch the scene where Luke punched Christopher in 7.02. He said that it took Scott Patterson 11 takes to get the car parked in the right spot on the curb. I thought that was pretty funny.

- Star's Hollow looked pretty normal. Weston's was back to being Weston's (I vaguely remember someone saying it had turned into something else?)

- The outside of Lorelai's house looked the same. Her light by her mailbox had fallen down, but I don't think it had anything to do with something they were shooting. I saw Babette's gnomes sitting in the lawn. Also, the garage is still painted and there's still tons of crap in Luke's boat.

- The guide let us go into soundstage 12, which is the Gilmore Mansion and Paris's apartment. In the mansion, the pictures on the fireplace of Lorelai and Rory are sitting there and they're actually real pictures of the actresses! I thought that was neat.

- The Gilmore dining room table was moved to the side, and the room looked really empty without it. Again, I'm not sure if this was for shooting purposes or not.

- There was a script lying on a little table in the Gilmore living room, but the guide was watching and I was too scared to look at it LOL. I guess this means that they were shooting a scene from 7.13 in there.

- Paris's apartment is a really cool set, because there are books everywhere. We got to see all those locks on her door. When you look out her window, and you think you are seeing the street, you are really seeing a big blown up digital photograph. It's a pretty cool illusion.

- On the way out we passed by Lauren and Alexis' trailers. There was this weird patch of fake looking green grass right outside of Lauren's trailer, and the guide said "she just likes it there." He also said that Lauren is a very nice person to talk to, and she always rides around the lot on her bike. Next to the trailer, WE SAW HER BIKE! I'm not sure why, but that made me very excited.

That's pretty much all I've got, but I'll see if I remember anything else in the next few days. I'll try to get the pictures up as soon as I can. Overall, the tour was a great experience and I recommend it to anyone. Also, our guide was extremely good and a big Gilmore fan! His name was Matthew (I think) and he claimed that his wife made him watch the show, but you could tell he really likes it

He let us go to the Gilmore soundstage even though our tour time was technically over because he knew how big of a Gilmore fan I was.

I should've been more clear. The tape was right inside the door to the mansion, in the foyer. It was right in the spot that the maid usually greets the girls. The tape very well could have just been the maid, Lorelai, Rory, and Emily, but I really don't know.

Random rant: I think it's unfiar to say that this entire time, the entire 30 something years she's been living, she's been using guys to fill the gaps in her life. Wasn't there a long period of time where she didn't date anyone at all? Pre-Max? And in between all the broken relationships, I really don't think she was heart-broken as a single mom. When she opened the Inn, the show made it clear that a part of her had fallen into place. She is not a longing, pathetic woman when she's single; she just dreams of that partner, that person that makes you complete. Don't we all?

Season 4, TISL:
LORELAI: You know, there are very few times in my life when I find myself sitting around thinking, "I wish I was married," but today, I mean -- I'm happy. You know? I like my life. I like my friends. I like my stuff. My time, my space, my TV.
LUKE: Yeah, sure.
LORELAI: But every now and then, just for a moment, I wish I had a partner, someone to pick up the slack. Someone to wait for the cable guy, make me coffee in the morning, meet the stupid sink before it gets sent back to Canada. [wanders to nearby bench and sits]

I agree, Lorelai needs a lot of alone time, a lot of soul searching time. She needs to figure out what she truly wants. But to say that she has jumped from one guy to another because she can't or doesn't want to stand on her own two feet is unfair to her character.

By the way, thanks for all the info JumpinJulie. (Is the 04 a graduation year?)
