I’d like to remind you all that this is the main Gilmore Girls spoiler thread, and as such, posters from various shipper groups are free to post here, so if you see someone saying something that you don’t like about “your” favorite character or couple, don’t start fighting with them on this thread, and don’t go into a Gilmore Girls shipper thread if you don’t like the couple that the shipper thread is for. People are free to criticize upcoming events on Gilmore Girls as they read the upcoming spoilers, but don’t use this thread as a free-for-all to bash any characters or couples that you don’t like, or their fans, or you’ll find that you’ll be deprived of the privilege of reading and speculating about Gilmore Girls spoilers again here. Thanks for the thread Babs. No, Laura, I think that I refered to the right person via the power of the green-hued Scott pic next to Lorelaisgirl's nick. Finally, Tara, the marriage is important in lue of the arguments being made. Especially Bella's, who used Lorelai's words about living her life as a way to refer to Lorelai needing to marry Luke, and Rory getting a JOB! Yeah, A CAREER, is so much fun for TV. Romance is and has always been a rather important part of RORY'S STORYLINE. To act as if it's not. To respond as if Rory waiting around to get married is a good thing. Ignores how Rory has been in more stable romantic relationships than her mom...whose old...

I really don't think any of us said that. I want RL to be happy just as much as you do, and if marraige is their plan, then more power to them. I just hate when people say Rory is lightyears ahead of Lorelai in terms of maturity and relationships, because I just don't see that. I guess I just don't view Lorelai as screwed up as some do. I'm afraid to say it on here because clearly few people are Lorelai fans, but pre-season 7, I've always sort of looked up to Lorelai, as a person.

Nobody is saying R/L have to go through all that in order to have a successful relationship. You know that too. But I wouldn't exactly trumpet how these two have it down perfectly either.

It's much easier to swim when you're not wearing concrete shoes. What kind of baggage does Logan and Rory have to deal with, that prevents them from working things out? How many years of relationship failures, rejection, failed marriages, broken engagements, unhappy childhoods, do the both of them carry with them? Again, I am not ripping them, or even quantifying their relationship. But I sure as hell am not going to say "Luke and Lorelai should be more like Logan and Rory!". Cos they are not, can't be and I don't want them to be either.
