Bored, Jason?

I don't watch 24, so I need to ask....are you being sarcastic about Milo reprising Kiefer's role, in the case of retirement?

You think that we are crazy?!
I can't understand why you would think something like that!

Crazy ? No one is crazy in here

How long does it take them to get from the casting notice to the real actor and when do we get to know who they casted ?

I'm betting the only reason they released the casting notice before xMas was to cast them so I think they know or at least have a short list.

Do we know when production starts again, my bet is Jan 8 so they would need people in place already to get back to work. Nadine do you know?

Don't know if we have this already; IMDB lists:
Christopher L. Antie as 'Townsperson' (that one we already knew)
Bo Barrett as 'Cashier'
Vanessa Marano as April Nardini (duh)
William Ramos Jr. as 'Townsperson'

Now, the cashier is most likely at the mall Lorelai, Rory, Luke and April run into each other.
What do they need 'townspeople' for?

The title for 7.13 "I'd rather be in Philadelphia"
only spec.:

Is it possible that Luke will say it?

In the end of 7.08 he saw the movie "The Philadelphia Story" at the hospital.
We could see that this movie let him think about Lorelai.
Now both are in the hospital, Lorelai for her father and Luke?, what is if Luke is thinking about this movie( for what reason ever, maybe there is a situation that let him think about this movie) and he'll say that he would rather be in Philadelphia than here at the hospital.
Lorelai would look at him a little bit confused with a big ? on her face and Luke will say it's because of the movie.
What movie? Lorelai ask
The Philadelphia Story, Luke answered
and they split.
Than we'll see Lorelai at the video store to check out the story behind the movie "The Philadelphia Story" and she'll know what Luke was saying.

I'd bet a lot of money that Luke had no clue what "TV show" he was watching.

Actually Karen, that was a bit of deus ex machina. And no, I am not being sarcastic about suggesting Milo as a replacement for Kiefer. Milo has great GRAVITAS skills, that few other actours have.

Oh you're so right. He's the greatest actor I've ever seen. Robert DeNiro should just cash it in. Jude Law? Sean Penn? Johnny Depp? Second rate in comparison.

The guy who ranted about REM sleep? After being with Lorelai for a couple of years? I'd reckon he knows about movies by now.

Eh, we need some of that holiday spirit around here. Haven't got a holiday smilie to hand - how about 'Good Morning'?

He's pop culturally clueless. He didn't even know what Casablanca was. The only way he'd know the Philadelphia Story is if he went out and rented it after he saw that brief snippet in the hospital. I'm mean, there were people HERE who didn't know what it was and had never seen it.

Eh, I edited as you were replying. That he's probably picked up a bit about movies by now ... but if sitting by April's bed in hospital was anything like most people's experiences of staying with a loved one in hospital - well, he saw more than a snippet - then gets interrupted by doctors, nurses or orderlies so he'll never know how it ends.

Eh, this whole post probably comes under the "how to procrastinate all those holiday preparations you should be finishing" label. lol.

Sandy is right I didn't even know that the movie was the Phiadelphia Story until people said it was here, then I went out and rented it. I think the writers choose the wrong movie cause no way is Luke Dexter Carrie Grant's character. The writers choose it randomly because it had eloping in Maryland

The scene of TPS that Luke saw was pretty much the end of the movie. So he wouldn't have seen much more of it anyway.

But I'd be willing to bet that Lorelai has seen it. Probably more than once.

It'd be cute if in a scene somewhere Lorelai said something like "I promise to be yar now." That is if The Philadelphia Story ever comes up again. Which I highly doubt anyway.

Now that's sarcasm.

I'm glad you enjoyed the movie, Jason. I think Milo was great (no surprise here) and I highly recommend the movie as a whole.
