I don't hate Chris neither was outraged by the thought of the pair LC (though I confess I won'y miss him nor love this "journey"). I liked Lorelai with Max (who Rory also would have liked as her stepfather, as she said back in season 2) and also with Jason, but most time I prefered Luke.

I'm happy with the spoilers that LL may get back together in the future, but I do think that Lorelai need to be single for a while.

Right lemon. Thanks for pointing out that Sophies are not monolithic; that some of us do like Luke as a person (and for Lorelai) in as much as some like Chris as a person (and for Lorelai). And we can and do co-exist...

Funny how calling Christopher names like "deadbeat" or "dopey" etc. always gets a reaction - but posting actual reasons for disliking him and hating his actions, is generally ignored as boring. Which, perhaps, it is. Heh.

I don't think my comments should nor were they meant to be intereperated as Sophies are either indifferent nor that we're objective. I don't think objectivity exists. We all have a POV that colors how we see things. A different view. Yes. Nor do I think most of us are indifferent. We have a different viewpoint. More neutral, perhaps. Most of us, I think, hope Lorelai figures out how to be happy, something I think she has no clue how to do, no matter if she ends up with Luke or not. But that's different from indifference or objectivity.

Too many of us can make too long of posts that are very involved about Lorelai and/or Luke and/or Chris to say we're indifferent. Most of us simply don't agree with many of the self identified JJs on this thread.

It may not have been intended that way but it certainly came across that way.

On to a topic of importance. What do you think rory's story will be about in the second half. I have a sense that her grandfather's illness is going to have a significant impact on her psychologically. I find her whole jumping from crisis to cooldown already a little bizarre. I just hope there is a point to it all. Its like they start her on something and then just leave it hanging. They started the crisis and didn't really follow it through by looking at how she would readjust to school. You would think there would be a struggle. Then they brought up her fear of what wsa to come ....bringing that crisis back but then leaving it as is. I find her sudden breakdowns with no follow-through abrupt and more than annoying.

ETA: sher, please tell me you are joking? I guess some horses just won't be allowed to die....

You can't lump all JJ's in the same club.

Just 'cause I don't ship R&L doesn't mean I hate then, they are good for each other and might teach Lorelai (and Luke) a thing or two about long term relationships, it doesn't appear to be working with C&L though.

I liked Dean, then her "Bad Boy" Jess, back to Dean was a BAD idea but she got him out of her system. So now she is good with Logan and I wish them the best.

I am kind of embarrassed to be an exception that proves the rule. Heh. (I really didn't hate him always, it just grew on me. I am willing to admit that my shipper tendencies exacerbate my dislike.)
