Doesn't the "back end" just mean the 2nd half of the season or eps after 13?

I'll appreciate him back only if it's got to do with Rory and her giving it to him about how he's been a crappy father for 22 years. Well...not a crappy father. A deadbeat.

And then Emily, Richard, Lorelai, and Luke can tell him off some more.

I have no idea how he could even redeem himself in Rory's eyes anymore...his own daughter. I'm sad for Rory, knowing she can never have a good relationship with her father. And after all this happens, how the heck could she ever have a reasonable relationship with him? It'll always be awkward, with the baggage that's been brewing under the surface for 22 years, plus how he eloped with her mom, slept with her mom earlier...and now abandoning the entire family in a crisis....

But at the same time, I don't want 3 more seasons whereupon Chris is redeemed as a good 'dad.' How will we know that Lorelai will never look at him in a romantic way again? Heck, how could she even LIKE him, anytime in the near or late future, after all that's happened?

Although Richard (and Emily) have a little somethig for rich guys, Richard had his problems with Dean, because a. he thought Rory was too young for a boyfriend b. he was her boyfriend and c. his little girl wasn't supposed to have a boyfriend until she's 40. Uhm 400.

That's even under the current level of this thread, which is hard to fall below. But, hey, go on dumbing it down, certain posters might feel even more at home than they alredy do.

It's a famous rock song, Riska, circa 1969 by The Steam. It is sung at sporting events among other crowd pleasing activies. And it's a song that Lorelai and Chris would reference cos they are so quippy and fun together.

Actually T.A especially at big colleges like U.C berkeley have these discussion sections where they go over the reading its here where attendence is required and they give the assigment and grade the work

It always seems to me that Richard wants Lorelai and Rory to be dating people with the potential to have high incomes. When Lorelai started dating Luke Richard tried to have him franchise the diner so he could be more respectable. His big gripe with Dean hinged on his lack of career aspirations and that he would probably not remain intellectually stimulating enough for Rory without attending a major university. I think he would support Rory dating just about anyone attending an Ivy League college.
