One episode Lorelai is dissing Luke and running away from town meetings to avoid him and then he calls about April and there's no, gee we haven't spoken or seen each other in months..just Hi, take her to the hospital. Now Lorelai and Rory bump into him at the mall and wax nostalgic about how they used to like him. Wasn't it just a few short months ago that Lorelai and Luke were engaged and seeing each other ever single day? The current writers do know that the summer hiatus was a couple of months not years, don't they? Or is it 2008 in Star's Hallow? Apparently what the show used to be about before the whole L/Cthing took upall the screen time WAS EVERYTHING ELSE THAT MADE IT MAKE SENCE. The pacing and flow is all off.
IMO there has been a lot over looked, the whole thing with L&L meeting after months of not talking and it's business as usual is just weird.

Before the latest info I thought ep 11 would pick up at the same time as ep 10 but now it looks like it's a month or more later, Rory's been off to London with Logan and IMO the vows thing if it went ahead (I think it did) was over the time skip so THANK GOD (or DSR) we didn't have to see that! IMO to please Emily she did the vows but I guess we'll find out later. It might explain why they are still together even after what happened in the bed and at the vow thing.

So IMO it's a month or more later Rory has just got back and they have the late xMas, maybe the same is happening with April and Luke?

I love the fact that it's Luke and not Chris.
Nice spec Riska, but I hope there will be a little bit more about it than just Luke being the new maid of the day.

I loved the "tie-scene" in F&S. And you're right if Emily talks about her feelings at all it's easier to do so with a "stranger", though it was mentioned that Lorelai and Emily will have their moment too.

Do we now how Richards ends up in the hospital, any spoiler-providers still around?
At fist I thought it could be cancer, but with everything happening so suddenly, I guess it's going to be his heart again.

I'm just wondering how much is there really for Luke to do for Emily, and why wouldn't Rory/Lorelai be doing that? That always makes me think that he's there before the girls are, maybe running into emily, and he makes some calls for her, or gets her drinks and food, or grabs the doctor for her or whatever. I don't think Emily would really be demanding Luke around.

And I'd like a nice scene where Emily opens up just a little like in F&S to Luke. That would open up Emily's eyes to how great Luke is even more than him just doing arrands for him.

Ep. 13 is so hard to piece together here. Why is luke helping emily? how does Luke get there? What's wrong with Richard? How's Rory handling it all? there's so many little questions that could really help our specs out...

Someone pointed out that Lane will be heavily pregnant for 7.11. Presumably she will be even more pregnant for 7.12. So why, in 7.12, is Gil's son singing I Want to be Sedated?

Advice to the expectant mommie? A distraction while Lane is giving birth?

I think, too that Luke runs into Emily when she just arrived in the hospital and is all hysterical, because it's the only really logical way to build the whole plot up. However, as I already mentioned, whenever Emily is emotionally stressed, she's very, very taff and Luke might be the one to experience that first hand. Which might lead to a talk scene. I hope they grab up the "I demand to go first", like Emily apologizing for Luke threating like the maid of the day, followed by something like "You don't break a promises, he promised".

I don't think the health problem will be cancer, but the heart, again, especially as we never saw Richard doing anything which'd be good for his heart after F&S. He still ate red meat, drank alcohol, no sports nut lots of work, his cigars and stuff.

Emily and Lorelai had their moment in F&S as well. They just cut it. Love the stew scene

Maybe there is a scene with Luke and Emily that Lorelai over hears, maybe she asks why is he doing this and do love Lorelai, Luke probably doesn't need to say anything and Emily would see it on his face. Maybe at some point the news comes out what happened in Partings or Emily already knows something happened that night.

I doubt Luke would say anything unless he was mad and it he was trying to defend him self against "why did you leave Lorelai" and maybe is Lorelai is over hearing this she steps in a confesses to Emily just what happened that night. With all this maybe we finally get a real answer to WHY she did it!

Just a spec with the whole Richard sick sl. Does anyone think that R/E will be so grateful to Luke for all his help that they hook him up with an attorney for his custody case. Like E/R going to the diner and tell him we set up an appt for you with so and so be there at such and such a time. Kinda like Emily did with Lorelai in Secrets and Loans. What do you all think?

To be incredibly concieted, I'd probably laugh my arse off. Considering I said that a few weeks ago, but I was totally joking when I said it. (It was my joke foiler)

Considering the kind of legal help they got their own granddaughter, I wouldn't see this as a positive for Luke.

voncey, I think your avi just made both my ovaries contract, and though I like SP, I don't like him like that. Still had that effect on me though.

Put me on the list of people who'd like to see Emily come to Luke's aid with the custody battle. That would make a great belated Christmas present. Frankly I'm more interested in an Emily epiphany about Luke, than Lorelai's on Chris vs. Luke. I still don't know how they're going to pull off the CL break up and the LL reconciliation without rushing things. We'll have wait and see how it pans out.

Well, at least they tried to help Rory.

Maybe Emily breaks down in front of Luke. Trying to be brave at first, but then she can't no longer keep her emotions in, after she yelled at all the nurses. Maybe they talk about Luke's parents or even better Emily's that would be a first. Or Emily tells Luke how afraid she is that this time she might lose Richard for good, how she can't imagine a life without him anymore, how hard the separation from Richard was, both behaving rather stupid and maybe from there their talk will shift to Luke and Lorelai, Emily saying that they are both idiots, again.

I hope they pick up " I demand to go first" too. It's too good to pass it up.

My spec..

I think that Lane will have given birth by 7.12, and that she can't get the twins to stop crying. Gil and his son, and Brian, come to visit the baby, and through some crazy scenario someone starts singing "I Wanna Be Sedated" which immediately makes the babies stop crying. Then Lane will demand that they keep it up, until it's unbearable, to them, and us! LOL!

ETA: Of course Lane and Zach will think it's awesome that they have "rock babies". Also, if it happens near the end of the epi, and she's still in the hospital, it would make a logical reason for Luke to go and visit her early in the next epi, setting up him being at the hospital when the Gilmore's arrive.

Yep. That could very well happen, or something fairly close to it.

I think we can all agree that there alot of questions left open for this episode. It should be a good one.

Also, just a thought, maybe they are gonna play the F&S angle on purpose. like maybe it makes them remember that day or something. They can be all "you're always around when someone's in trouble" or i don't know, someting like that.
