I hope for a S8....with everyone on board...LG, AB, SP, MC, EH and KB......but it´s all about the money....

Wasn't there some rumour that AB doesn't want to do another season? That would be one character. Although personally I wouldn't mind as long as Scott, Kelly and Lauren are still in I think it's weird to have Gilmore GirlS with only one Gilmore Girl... except that maybe Emily will movein with LL

that does seem like the obvious conclusion. But really, would anyone on the show think that the show could continue w/o one of the girls? We know LG doesn't think so, neither does DR. The idea that she might think that it would continue without one of them seems crazy.

I really don't think she can know... in DR's last interview he said he didn't know, and unless she was just at filming for ep. 12 or something, I just can't see how Sally Struthers would know. anything's possible though.

The way I understood it, is not that Sally S. thinks that the show can continue without one of the main actors, or that she knows it's been decided already to do so, but rather that she knows at least one of these actors has decided not to continue.

Therefore she says, that if the WB decides it's willing to go on producing another season, there's still a question whether the CW will want the show, which will be missing at least one main character, and will undoubtedly take on a new direction.

Akarana - I like the idea of Emily moving in with the Gilmore - Danes.

But, I still really prefer ALL the others there too: Richard, Rory, Logan, townies.

For the show to take a whole new direction the character can't be a minor one imo.
It has to be one of the main ones.

p.s= Didn't Edward said he would've left after a seventh season sometimes ago? Did I dream this?

Yeah, but Sally Struthers talked about "one or two characters missing" and we also have that spoiler (that was claimed to be a foiler) about SP "unreasonable demands for his contract". So his character could be one of the problems.

No it wouldn't. The contract that SP signed for this year contained an option for an eighth season. His contract is already set and in place for another year.

AB is the one hold out so far, I believe.

I think, too that it's AB. And although it'd be easy to write her out (after the graduation Rory could start working everywhere), I hope they let the whole show go for good, if she should quit. S6 and 7 so far already proved that there isn't much new to add, so they simply should give the show a good end instead of going on like this - no matter if AB quits or not. It's simply the law of series that after ~ Season 5 it gets worse. GG sady is no exception.

Yup, contractually that's what it means. Although you never know what unforeseen "issues" could arise between actors and the studio that may complicate things

. But from what I understand, he's set.

Which is why I never took that "spoiler" seriously.

Yeah sure, she is talking about two, but because AB seems reluctant she was my first guess. Scott is in, I also think Lauren would do another season, so honestly I have no idea who of the "important" characters wouldn't come back except for AB(maybe).

But on the other hand I really can't understand why AB seems to be reluctant because she hasn't made that many movies so far... Lauren h her production company, Scott made it already clear that he invested his money in a way that after GG he doen't need to work anymore, or he could work as a consultant...mmh, maybe Edward or Kelly?

Thanks for the articles/interviews everyone that brought them over. I would SERIOUSLY be pissed if they even considered continuing Gilmore Girls without AB.

If the network wants to continue without her, then they really should make it a spin off, appropriately titled the Luke and Lorelai (yes, in that order) Show. It would save me the trouble of watching.
