I’d like to remind you all that this is the main Gilmore Girls spoiler thread, and as such, posters from various shipper groups are free to post here, so if you see someone saying something that you don’t like about “your” favorite character or couple, don’t start fighting with them on this thread, and don’t go into a Gilmore Girls shipper thread if you don’t like the couple that the shipper thread is for. People are free to criticize upcoming events on Gilmore Girls as they read the upcoming spoilers, but don’t use this thread as a free-for-all to bash any characters or couples that you don’t like, or their fans, or you’ll find that you’ll be deprived of the privilege of reading and speculating about Gilmore Girls spoilers again here. Have fun watching Babette & Miss Patty interacting with Emily & Richard's stuff shirted friends. It would make for fun stories to tell later.

Logan doesn't like the high society stuff anymore than Lorelai does. He likes the perks of having money, something Lorelai has shown herself on multiple occasions. But he doesn't like the strings that go with it any more than she does. TPO, BR, AaGNaG, CH, BIAG, all show him not liking to deal with that side of who he is. But he's learned to live his life in a way that lets him have fun while fulfilling his familial obligations as well.

His entire existance has become a sub-party. He fell in love with someone that loves Logan, not that he's Logan Huntzberger. He gets along with all sorts of people, as long as they're not just after his money. Lucy was a good example of that last night, she didn't care about his money, Marty who did was the one he has always had an issue with, and vice-versa. His dad challenged him and now he's learning to enjoy work. But the societal stuff he smiles and nods, when he's in a good mood, then gets the hell out of dodge for the most part. When he's in a bad mood, like in AaGNaG he can still act like a jack ass, mostly at people that are impressed with his last name, but could care less about him as a person.

Lorelai COULD do the same thing with this wedding. Have the party Emily wants to throw, but invite people that she can have a good time with, drink a lot of martinis and do so. It's her choice to sit in the corner, not compromise, pout and not have fun.

It's not about if she does or doesn't love Chris or Luke, it's about her inablitiy to learn to navigate and negotiate and compromise her way through life. To pick her battles. Logan has. Rory being one. In choosing to be with her his family got no say, he left when they insulted her. The rest of it, not being as important he's learned to deal with. For Lorelai everything's a battle, everything's a crisis, everything's her way. With everyone. Chris, Luke, Rory, Emily, and the list goes on.

Captain, ITA! And I vote for the LIES title.

Plus, while I agree Lorelai was uncooperative with Luke in SOME situations, I don't think it was to the extent that it is now. Keep in mind that Luke didn't want to help plan the wedding- he really didn't have much of an opinion. And, keep in mind that Lorelai was very patient about the whole April thing for months. She lost it in the end, of course, but I think she's learned she made the wrong decision by giving him an ultimatum. I mean, look at where her life is now. Had she used gentler words or been a little more understanding, she might be Lorelai Danes. Along with this epiphany will probably come the realization that her relationship with Luke will take a lot of work to mend.

It's a relationship, though, that has a foundation of true love. This I am positive of!

well, i'm bias...

finally LL in scenes together again is making my day and i can't imagine much prettier at the moment.

why does it have to be practically two months away?

We do need more RL stuff though. But at least we got something on them today. And it's great that they're going to Europe still.
