I wonder what place is that. Quote:
I second the fact that, if I were Lorelai, I'd be disappointed not to have my daughter at home for Christmas. __________________ Wilson: No, you're not afraid of authority, you're afraid she actually is right for you. | Huh, I meant that remark about not caring what happened in response to you saying that Lorelai might have asked her parents to not come visit her in SH or not contact her. I don't care what the 17 year old Lorelai said or did on that matter. Richard and Emily were the parents here and no matter what, should have shown that even though Lorelai ran away to start a life in SH, they did still support her. Lorelai was obviously in not the easiest of situations and still very young. Regardless of how Lorelai responded at that time and age, I believe R&E should have gone out of their way to at least show they did support her. And I think visiting her in SH would have been a great start (without negative comments of course) ... same as I would have hoped Lorelai would have visited Rory in the Gilmore Mansion, to show her support ... I obviously do care about this argument I guess I did use words that were not very clear in what I meant ...

| Someone may need to refresh my memory, but didn't Rory already mention to Lorelai in 7.02 that Logan had bought her plane tickets to spend the holidays in London? So I don't understand why Lorelai would be disappointed since she already knew about it. __________________ -Sophia- avatar by: autumnღfairytale | |||

| Plimbino, the parent always has to work harder at the relationship and always has to be the grown up and offer the inconditional love. Look at how Richard and Emily, and especially Emily, treat anyone who disappoints them or is not up to snuff. They blame them and get rid of them if they can. If Lorelai had 16 years of that who can blame her for not wanting Rory to live with that too? Yes Emily grieved, as I said they are not monsters, she loves Lorelai, unfortunately she loves herself and her idea of whats right a lot more. I have had 2 sixteen year olds, if I chose to be critical, judgemental and rejecting of thier opinions I might have driven them out too. It's harder being the parent (as Lorelai found out with Rory). And as I said before, Lorelai has always been there when they needed her, despite how many times they have let her down. Emily needs to be on Lorelai's side for once, and care moe about her then some dumb party or even Christopher. | |||

Yea...I totally forgot that Logan actually got Rory a ticket for London. That's what happens when I can only stand to watch episodes one time. I tend to forget some details from earlier episodes. __________________ Izzie: Because it's what Jesus would freakin do! JOEY: Some girl ate Monica. MONICA: Shut up, the camera adds ten pounds. | Blaab, again you are saying that you "don't care what the 17 year old Lorelai said or did on that matter", but isn't that one of the most important points? At least for me it is. Lorelai always only did the things she wanted to do. According to Richard "Lorelai never does anything unless she wants to – no matter the consequences to anyone else" - so I think it's really important what Lorelai did back then even if she only was 17 years old, Lorelai was always independent and apparently a grown up, so for me it matters a lot what happened back then. ETA Ckomodo, just remember the fact the Emily left Richard because she was afraid she would lose Lorelai again, if that doesn’t show her love for her daughter I don’t know what would. It just proves that Emily and Lorelai have a lot in common. Both putting their daughters above their partners. __________________ "It’s amazing the information available on the computer these days." And I do want to see L/L meet on purpose. Perhaps we'll see that regarding the character reference letter that Lorelai writes. __________________ ~Melodie~ Avi by ourfall LJ Dancing Cow?

I had spec - since April rode herself to SH would she do the same now without letting Anna know and maybe unintentionally getting Luke in trouble? | I can understand why Rory and Lorelai might be shopping after X-mas for their after X-mas celebration, but why would Luke and April? Has Anna and April already moved to New Mexico and April's back on a visit so they're also celebrating a late X-mas? Or, would they do that even if she still lived in the next town? Or, did they spend X-mas with Anna's mother and they've just gotten back? __________________ The four stages of Life.

| Actually, it's consistent. If Lorelai & Chris are living in the past, so is Lorelai in general. If she thinks Rory will need her room in the CS or will ditch Logan (or whoever her Sig Other will be) to spend Christmas with in SH, she is living in the past. So this part (including Lorelai insisting on celebrating Christmas in Jan) is more living in the past. All of which changes or at least is shaken when Richard's health changes. ETA: The judge or Anna's lawyer might have gotton around to "suggesting" father-daughter time. I'm guessing the NM move was put on hold when the supenas arrived __________________ This Isn't A Hospital--It's An Insane Asylum | |||

![]() The first time we might see them talking to eachother willingly, I don't know if that's the right word, but just actually going to talk to the other and not just talking because they ran into eachohter, will probably be whenever she gets her butt back into the diner. Even if he calls her for the letter, it's not the same, because it's something he needs, like with April in ep. 8. I'm just waiting for the day when they just talk like they used to, because they wanted to, to say hi, whatever... __________________
