| Blaab, we only know that Emily couldn’t get out of bed for over a month, we don’t know how long it took before Lorelai even told her parents where she’s staying and living now. Maybe Emily wanted to visit, but Lorelai could have made it clear that she doesn’t want her parents to know where she’s staying and didn’t want for them to come for a visit. We don’t know what really happened during that time, just after Lorelai has left her home. IMO Emily reached out towards her daughter but Lorelai rejected her, how much pain can one person endure before she breaks completely down and in order to get her life back tries to put her emotion on hold. __________________ "It’s amazing the information available on the computer these days." | |||

Still, we don't know enough about the whole Lorelai leaving. We dunno what Emily and Richard tried to bring her back before they accepted it or if they tried anything. | Still Sandra, she was 17/18 and they figured out where she was quick enough to invite her to a Xmass party. But they hadn't come visit her in SH. They could have at least tried. They had never been to the Inn, never seen the Pot shed etc. Never until Rory's 16th Birthday Party. Give me a break, sorry I am getting annoyed with this, not you Sandra, but the idea in general that Lorelai somehow is responsible for everything. I know that's not what you all are saying, but I guess I am adding some parts of differents posts to one opinion, which ain't fair I know. I don't care what really happened. What is obvious to me is that Lorelai does love Emily and Richard a lot. And sorry, Lorelai here was the kid in the difficult situation. Becoming a mother at that age. I am not saying this was easy for Emily, but a visit in 16 years wouldn't be to much to ask rigth? Lorelai did visit them in those years in their house (Easter Xmass). They could have shown some interest in her life in SH. By coming and showing they accepted this situation. Even in FNAFF, Emily still yelled, but you should have gotten married to Chris (well, different words) ... Over all these years, about 22 of them, they are still hang up on this. They still did not let this go ... Let's talk about acceptance. Oh and BTW Lorelai was also feeling like crap during the Rory rift, that doesn't mean she shouldn't have shown support to Rory ... same goes for Emily and being in bed for a month ... could have still reached out! | Sorry Blaab, but if you say you don't even care what really happened I don't think you understand what I'm saying at all, you may be tired of the argument, well than I could say I'm tired of the fact that apparently Emily should be blamed for all that happened as well. Riska made some excellent points as well, but since you don't care... Thanks for the pics micfall, Lorelai&Rory and Luke&April great. ETA Blaab, the Rory rift is another example that Lorelai only cared for herself.
