I’d like to remind you all that this is the main Gilmore Girls spoiler thread, and as such, posters from various shipper groups are free to post here, so if you see someone saying something that you don’t like about “your” favorite character or couple, don’t start fighting with them on this thread, and don’t go into a Gilmore Girls shipper thread if you don’t like the couple that the shipper thread is for. Episode 7.10 - Merry Fisticuffs

TheCW: LUKE AND CHRISTOPHER COME TO BLOWS — Luke (Scott Patterson) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) share a sweet moment when Luke introduces her to Liz’s new baby. Christopher (David Sutcliffe) witnesses the scene and it adds to his concern that Lorelai isn’t fully committed to their marriage. The next day, Lorelai and Christopher get into a fight over whether they should exchange vows at the elaborate wedding party Emily (Kelly Bishop) is throwing for them. Luke contacts a lawyer over his custody troubles with Anna, then runs into Christopher and the two have an ugly confrontation in the streets of Stars Hollow. Meanwhile, when Logan (Matt Czuchry) discovers that Rory and Marty (Wayne Wilcox) have been pretending that they just met, rather than admitting their previous friendship to Lucy (Krysten Ritter), he reveals the truth to Lucy. Finally, Emily gives Lorelai a warning about her marriage. Sean Gunn also stars. Jackson Douglas directed the episode written by David Rosenthal.

TV Guide: Lorelai dreads each day that she meets with her mom and a prominent party planner in anticipation of the upcoming wedding party. Meanwhile, Lorelai and Christopher can't seem to agree on plans for their future, and she usually gets her way; Logan is in town and Rory takes him to the Yale cafeteria, where they run into Marty, and Rory explains the whole awkward reunion she had with Marty and their subsequent deception with Lucy; and Luke decides to talk to a lawyer about April.

TV Guide Hot List: Despite the series' typical humor, there's an uneasy tension in every relationship on tonight's episode. Lorelai spends agonizing hours with her mom and a wedding-party planner, while she and Chris can't get in sync regarding their plans for the future. Then there's Rory and Logan. While he's in town, a chance meeting with Marty forces Rory to tell Logan about the strange deception between her, Marty and Lucy. Awkward. And there's no subtlety in Luke's anger toward's Anna when he decides to see a lawyer regarding April. — Bill Ecklund

Cue the inevitable Lorelai epiphany. From Ausiello (Podcast): They're tweaking this whole story, don't know what's gonna happen now.

Matt Roush: …As for Gilmore Girls: I can only hope that this is the final season. (You're not the only one stymied by how quickly Rory zoomed through Yale, especially given that she dropped out for a while.) I find the show squirm-inducing these days for a variety of reasons. But it's hard to predict if the CW will let loose of its Tuesday anchor this soon. The network may feel compelled to keep it at least another year in hopes of developing more new programming that could potentially fill its shoes. (Not an easy task.) At the moment, it doesn't look as if the Palladinos are poised to return should the show continue. The falling-out was pretty brutal. But nothing would surprise me (except, perhaps, finding myself caring about what happens in Stars Hollow again).

So I'm a bit behind with what the scoop is. As the wording has changed for the To Whom it May Concern spoiler, now Chris doesn't read the letter and get mad, and isn't pouting when Richard gets sick? As dumb as them getting together so suddenly was, and as dumb as breaking them up so quickly would be, even dumber to have them just drift along and the Lorelai SL go nowhere all season. How long is the show going to try and make lemon aide out of this lemon? Yes, some people are saying, yay, yay, it's great, but when you put comments, rating, and reviews all together, the season so far is a bust and the blahness of the whole Chris/Lorelai thing is a major factor. Give it up LG. If you like being in scenes with him have a testy divorce - but get the show on track.
