Now Sookie's not going to be their either? WTF is wrong with DR and company? How can they have the townies being upset about not being invited, and not letting them go (probably saying that they weren't important enough to Rory or whatever), and still not have Sookie and Luke there. Are Luke and Sookie just going to be mysteriously missing from that town meeting? Or are they going to decide to put them on the same level as the townies? They're the two people besides Lorelai and E/R that should both be there.

It's not just you. It's been like that this whole season (the Luke calling Lorelai in ep. 8, the LL scene in MF, all the LL in ep. 11 and 13), it's like they can't let us get too happy about anything for too long.

You'd expect that to stop now that things are actually looking up, but no. They can't just stop kicking us for the last few eps of the show?

I'm dying to know when LL kiss again!! All I want is the episode number, doesn't have to be specifics... is that too much to ask? haha I really don't get why all the secrecy about the way LL play out by the end of the season. I just hope it means we are getting a season 8 regardless!!

I'm sad Luke isn't at Rory's graduation, but I'm not devastated. I'm sure the reason will be explained, and it seems very plausible he is orchestrating the SH party-fest for Rory, which would be just as good IMO

and who knows, maybe we'll get our fill of LL goodness AFTER the graduation/parties

I'm not giving up hope on Luke being there, Rory tells Lorelai about Chris coming and I bet she invites Luke, maybe if he is not there he has a good reason, setting up the town party? I just hate that so close to the end Dopey steps in again and it looks like Luke is pushed to the side. We already know what happens with Logan so if this all turns out I'm not liking the reviews that might come.

Sookie isn't Rory's past or future stepfather-to-be. We're not being asked to believe that Lorelai and Sookie "end in a good place", despite all evidence to the contrary. We're not being asked to swallow a future family headed by them, like with Luke and Lorelai - DESPITE everything DR's showed us. I can't agree. I've seen plenty of evidence over the last few episodes that L/L will end in a good place.

Did we even get one scene with Sookie and Rory this season ? I can't remember but Sookie not being there doesn't surprise me actually.
But Luke not being there because Daddy of the Year and E/R have a stick up their butts when it comes to Luke is just wrong. I really hope the spoiler is either wrong or they have a damn good reason for that. Please don't let it be April's fault - the turtle has done enough. She is 14 now right ? Is there a graduation at that age ? I'm not so familiar with the American school system.

What if Rory does invite him but since he knows Christopher would be there and it would be extremely uncomfortable, he decides not to come because he doesn't want anything to ruin Rory's day? He knows how important this day is to Rory and Lorelai so I think he would be willing to make sure it is happy as possible.

That is something I could live with because I can totally see Luke doing that.

Between Gypsy squeezing her lemons and Morey's salty nuts, that town meeting was incredibly dirty, lol. It was amazing!

Is this the picture we're left with? That they can’t blend their lives or share a family?

Luke and Lorelai are adults; they’re both parents; theirs wasn't a teenage love triangle. I wish your spec had cheered me up, but it depresses me no end. It reduces Rory’s graduation to “I went to the prom because we already had tickets and it just proved to me how wrong things are when you’re not there”?

That’s not why I rooted for LL. After all this, I wanted better for them, if only at the end. Something that let me believe in them as a family.

Is this where we leave Emily and Richard? Never dealing with the man Lorelai (supposedly) really loves? What kind of a future does this leave any of them?

Does this mean Luke will be left home, back in Stars Hollow, whenever Lorelai attends a Rory event with the grandparents and biological father.

Aren't we jumping the gun a little bit here? We don't even know how far a long(if at all) L/L are in their relationship yet. And I don't think any of this is a bad sign. Chris is part of Lorelai's past. Not Luke's. If he doesn't want todeal with Chris, he shouldn't have to.

I like the idea Lorelai comes back from graduation and tells Luke how wrong it was that he was not there and they start kissing, maybe the first kiss since the break up (Still hoping for ep 20 though) then Luke invites Lorelai to spend the night and they make up GOOD and many times!

BTW - listening to "Raise the spirit" and love it, Grant Lee is great!
