I wonder if it's a ticket thing, like Rory could only get four, which is why the rest of the townies are upset they couldn't go, maybe Luke is in that category. He'll be at her celebration bash for sure, without Dopey being there...I hope to God.

But I also feel that Luke should be there. Despite what goes on between him and Lorelai, he should be there for Rory. He was there for everything else, so this shouldn't be any different, which is why i think theres an outside reason for him not being there that is beyond his control.

Yeah, Katie, I'm not so upset either. In light of everything else, it's really not a big deal. What bothers me slightly about it is NOT the Luke isn't there for Rory but Christopher is type thing, it's more that Luke not being there might indicate that he and Lorelai haven't reached a very high level of commitment. But, who knows how it will play out.

I don't know how any of you can skip the episode -- it's such a pivotal episode for the series!

Which is why Luke should be there. His absence serves as a huge reminder of what went wrong this season. The show took a sharp left turn and became the Lore and Chris Show and completely disregarded it's history. The new writers/showrunner watched marathon viewings of past seasons? Bull-****.

If they play this out like Luke can't go because of tickets, I can see Luke trying to get them to stop their nonsense because he can't go either. Or if they play this like Luke is invited, but doesn't go (maybe because of Chris), I can so see the townies being like, "if Luke can go, why can't we?"

But if Luke's just not invited for no reason, well... then... there would be no excuse for that, but I can't see him siding with the townies on this thing, aways.

Is it for sure that Luke won't be at the graduation?
This is so wrong. I cannot think of one reason why Luke shouldn't be there. Even with LL not dating yet there are comfortable enough to spend some hours in the same room together with a lot of other people.
It doesn't make any sense.

Maybe the marathon was too much for them and they fell asleep after 10 epsiodes

But if she only got four tickets, for instance, i mean its a given that her grandparents and her mother would be there, and since her idiot of a father payed for yale and he is, unforunately, he father, she invites him. And as much as i hate Luke not being there and having Chris there instead, i'm sure Luke would understand

I won't be at the party Emily and Richard have in ep. 21, but he's involved in the Stars Hollow one in the finale (Do we know whether that one ends up cancelled? Or just that Lorelai thinks she needs to cancel it?). And he's also involved in Rory and Lorelai's pre-graduation stuff in ep. 20.

I agree. If it's about the tickets. But if it's not Luke's choice not to go, or Luke just isn't invited and they never mention issues getting tickets, that I wouldn't understand. He should be at the graduation, I just want that to be mentioned, that he should be there, but either there's not enough tickets, or he doesn't want to.

If they ignore Luke entirely during the whole "who's coming?"/"Who do we want to invite?" parts, then I'll be mad.

OK I went on spoiler fix and the last post for episode 7-21 is on 4/04. It is a USC student saying she had seen L/C and E/R but no townies or Luke. We heard this before and it isn't anything new. She might just not have seen him, or maybe it is true, but she wasn't there for all the taping right?

Man, it is hard to be optomistic.

I agree. I just don't think it's worth getting all bent out of shape about. And I guess I just don't understand what the big deal is about Luke not going. Sure, I wanted him to be there, but I don't think it's necessary to the SL. Plus, I've been expecting this kind of since no one actually saw SP at USC when they were filming. It just makes sense with all the info about the graduation filming.

The way I see it, there is no way Luke would not go to the graduation if Rory or Lorelai asked him to. That leaves us with him not being invited because there aren't enough tickets or Rory doesn't invite him to appease her dad, which seems to be what usually happens. Everyone makes sure Chris doesn't have his little feelings hurt. They kiss his butt. Lorelai already knows they fought in MF and maybe she and Rory decide that they don't want to throw salt on Christopher's many wounds. JMO I don't hate Chris, but you have to admit the Lorelais have a tendency to bend over backwards for the guy so to not invite Luke to keep the peace is a possibility even if I don't like it.

So this will be in 7.18. I wonder where the song is in the ep. To me it sounds like a Lorelai song. hmm...

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this (I'm just catching up right now), but the individual who posted the spoiler on TWoP is a Christopher apologist and a L/C shipper. And I don't think he/she's ever given out a spoiler before.

There are reports, we know, of people at the shootings who said they didn't see Luke, but aren't their conflicting spoilers too from others saying that Luke is supposed to be at the graduation?

what I like best about it, is this loving, positive tune of it

I think it has to do with the spring fling and the hay bale maze, somekind of background music for some maze scenes perhaps?
