Thanks for all the new information everyone. The more information we get on the remaining 5 episodes that seem to indicate that the progress between LL is moving at a snail’s pace, the more I believe we will get a season 8.

The statement that LL will come to an understanding reinforces my belief in this. Now with SassyPaws’ and MA’s news that a season 8 is more than likely, I am feeling more and more positive about this, The writers will drag out the LL reunion as long as possible and they’ll probably get back together in the final episode.

It doesn’t make sense that we would see 13 episodes of LC as a couple (with precious time again being wasted at the graduation) and with time quickly running out if it’s the final season, continue to hardly see any interaction or substantial romantic developments with the couple that most fans want to see.

I won't even care if Luke and Lorelai are back together in 7.22 if there's an 8th season. They can end the season with "want to be friends again?" and I'd be just FINE!

That's starting to be my theory too. We'll see if this actually comes to fruition.

ETA: I agree, Tara! I've been really positive about a S8 lately.

I hope you're right 2gg. My only fear is that DR thought he would get S8 and that's why he slowed things down but he either was kidding himself or everything fell apart. It makes no sense to me that they would give Chris big screen in the penultimate episode of the entire series knowing how much most GG fans hate the character. If they didn't take that into consideration, then I wonder if they think about the fans at all, (see also: the R/L breakup). That makes me very nervous for what they might do if we do get S8.

Sorry didn't get a chance to go through the previous thread regarding that when they finish filming thing (so if it was cleared up I apologise in advance) - they finish the end of this week so their official filming hiatus starts next week. That's unless pickups are needed then they'll be back next week to film them.

Richard's definitely at Rory's graduation (but that was already confirmed right?).

Sorry can't answer it but you'll find out soon enough. But you could tell from the fans who saw them film at USC, there were a lot of scenes filmed there, so pretty much deduce who you saw filming and that will give you the correct answer.

After what Amy did last year - using her power over the show to the degree of destroying it and the suits not being able to stop it - I highly doubt Rosie has that much power over changing the storyline just because he THINKS the girls MIGHT sign for season 8. He had something in his hand before he made that call.
