can i please make a snarky commment please

ok no
how about Luke's body needs to be shown - he is way hotter than chris and all his naked chest screen time

We deserve a sex scene - like a good cry we need it -

DSR must be one wound up man thinking lorelai would appear after the fact like a bed hopper when in fact she is one - has he never seen the show with max, alex, digger etc

I'm wondering if LC talk about how far along they are in the divorce process at some point in 7.21. Even if it's just a passing comment like "I got the papers. I just need to get them notarized and we'll be all set. " "Okay. Thank you."
I'm guessing that they're not legally divorced yet. But still in the process of it. Don't divorces take awhile to finalize?

Still catching up,

So a kiss and nothing more for L&L. no wonder DSR and others want S8. This sucks, not even a next morning Lorelai comes down from the apartment, even if we don't see the act.

I wonder when DSR realized he screwed up this season?

Thanks for the interviews also.

And for a marriage in France to be legal they need to be residence of the country for 40 days but we skipped right through that!

I don't know what fans of other shows want, but most fans of this show, fans of LL have this to say in response:

Well said caf. When will they finally get it into that thick skull of theirs that we don't need LL to hold hands and skip around their white picket fence all day whistling show tunes. We do want them to hold hands sometimes, and have a home together (perhaps with a fence, white or not, around it), but to do so while keeping their unique often bantering and clashing personalities alive, as they tackle everyday issues of couples, of this specific couple. Just get them together already, fully committed, and let them deal.
Happily ever after ain't real life either, Davey. Anyone married here who can honestly say all of their relationship or family problems, insecurities, jealousies, fears disappeared after you got married, raise your hand.

Hel-LO? Anybody out there? Didn't think so.

In other words, Lorelai REALLY REALLY loves Luke because she didn't sleep with him, tell him she loved him a million times or try to be friends with him even after they broke up. But she didn't REALLY REALLY love Chris cos she did all that with him. And that is the moral of this season.

and all we asking for is a great make up sex scene - we are not asking for every time they show them they are in bed - the best part of luke and lorelai before and after them getting together is them being them, the banter, the looks, the touches, everything it was there before and it will be there again - just watch any episode from seasons 1-4 the touches, the everything its all there, we just got the bonus when they actually got together and we saw their chemistry explode and meld

Nope, it's because Lorelai has decided to think before she acts. For once in her life. And if L/L don't even reconcile until 7.22, I don't see how a bed scene would be plausible anyway. It's not as if they'll be together for several episodes and then never have sex. And Lorelai didn't try to be friends with Luke after the break-up because she was angry with him. She and Chris parted amicably. Plus Lorelai is finally started to try to rebuild her friendhsip with Luke, so I really don't see what the problem is in that regard.

Or gets drunk, sings a love song to the man she loves just to take it back when she is sober the day after - yep that's thinking

I'm not really that bother about it. They should take their time before they go into the hot and steamy love making again. A really good make out is good for now. They have season 8 for that

Thanks for the new thread, gjoni! And thanks for the interviews and other stuff! I don't really have a lot to say right now other than I can't stop watching the global promo and I love LL finally getting back to normal

Is there a podcast today?

Thanks, sara. I'm actually kind of glad about that, from the perspective of not wanting her to look like a bed hopper (no snarky comments here, only thoughts ) I think it is a much better thing if Lorelai and Luke can very obviously love each other but not have to sleep together to show it. I think that alone would show a growth/change in both their characters, nothing negative intended. However, I'm certainly all for it in an 8th season So bring it on!!

I don't know. I really will look forward to seeing the THS of Gilmore Girls!!

OT: I saw the THS story about Dirty Dancing, and Jennifer Grey said that things got so tense between her and Patrick Swayze that the director, I think, made them watch their screen test again to remind them why they got the parts in the first place. That screen test smoked!

Good point, please god let it just be how they wrote the description C&L should be divorced!

BUT
Quote:
"We knew before we got Chris and Lorelai married that they would end up divorced. And by the way," Grae said, "the whole story between Chris and Lorelai, in some ways, was a legacy of Amy's." According to Grae, the last scene that Amy Sherman-Palladino ever wrote was in the final episode of season six, when Luke rejects Lorelai's marriage ultimatum, and Lorelai once again turns to her childhood sweetheart, Christopher, for a little more than just condolence.
Nice DSR has someone else to blame for the crappy season 7!

They did NOT have to marry or even carry on a "relationship" for so much of the season, that was all DSRs doing he could have had this end much sooner and had some SL that actually included Chris and Rory!

DSR just sucks at good story telling, fans and critics (and the ratings) have been telling him this all season!
