Slow day at work, Lancer?
Yep

I did a test page but that was more for me and not the paper, oh well I have a contract and I'm being paid. I'll probably have a rush off work after lunch!

Thanks Nadine, maybe it had to do with them being unsure over S8, so they held off, still seams stupid to me they have not said something.

I guess if ET or such have something someone with caputre it and put it up.

The only way I see Chris coming back in S8 is for Rory, maybe a wedding or something else. He is done as any love interest for Lorelai.

Ha, IMing my friend in IL, talking about a restaurant there that serves breakfast all day, and people go in their jammies. We need Pajama Day in Stars Hollow in Season 8. Can you see Kirk in his Superman pajamas, Taylor in a union suit, Caesar with his night cap on...... and the first ever sign on Luke's door (rummage sale not withstanding): You MUST wear something! There'd be no need for Luke and Lorelai to get out of bed that day, naturally.

Nah - I'm not going around that tree again - I'll never change my mind about it all and I don't expect anyone else to - so, onward to the L/L reunion.

Well it just happened to be one of the handful of episodes I did see of Friends. Funny how things stick in my mind.

Plus he wouldn't let her pay. After all this, she still gets her coffee on the house.

But the thing is that she shouldn't need that this time. She shouldn't need him to do this great, impressive thing before she opens are eyes and decides that maybe she will get back together with him. I don't want Lorelai to come off that way again. It's how she was earlier this season with Chris. She only went back with him because he was there, telling her how much he loved her. It will be awful if Lorelai waits until Luke does something like organizing the party before she can openly, and while sober, say how she feels. It would that she really didn't change all that much and still can't fight for Luke and face the risk of not getting him.

That's why I hope they can talk sometime in ep. 21. If ep. 21 ends with Luke still upset and her still denying her feelings, how little of LL together would we even be able to get in the finale with all the Rory and Townie stuff that's more important? The last thing I want is LL to make up at minute 50, then the next scene be the Lorelais and Luke in the diner for the final scene.
i still think she needs the big gesture - this is still lorelai - she hasn't changed no matter what the journey we think we saw - its the same as the air kiss and the handshake its the gestures with her - its because as far as i can see she hsan't changed that much - she just finally realized her and chris are better friends and now she needs the big gesture again and again s- its not really about lorelai and luke all this time it was about chris and lorelai which sucks but is true and it just hurts my heart - its like they have changed the entire history all for the love of dopey

i want lorelai to pursue luke - even though luke will always pursue her and pine for her - if there is a season 8 i hope we get a marriage not a wedding because i would love to see that

As for denying she loves him, if she thinks he doesn't love her, and all she can have is friendship, then perhaps she is denying it so she doesn't lose that friendship. Since Luke is the one who pushed her away, he is the one who needs to show her that he wants her in his life.

I know that the sl of their breakup didn't make a whole lot of sense in S6, but from the show's POV, Luke is just as guilty as Lorelai, and he started it by withdrawing from her. So I disagree that Lorelai should make the first romantic move. That's where Luke comes in regarding the party.

I mean, if I thought some guy didn't love me or want to marry me, why in the world would I go after him?

Amen, sister! Chemistry out the wazoo!
ok say he doesn't love her - why would she go back to the diner again - if i loved someone and went back and it was totally recprocated what would be the point to a degree because = and if all they both want is friendship - they obviously can' t have it - looking at the dc because it doesn't feel like a genuine friendship unless they hash it all out

Oh she obviously knows that she loves him. Hence the song. The "gesture" would just be what gets her out of denial mode. It's not as if Lorelai has no feelings at all for Luke, and then his throwing the party leads her to some grand epiphany. There's no epiphany to be had here.
ok - this year has not shown me anything - she is contanstly in this denial mode - its getting annoying - i don't think she even knows what feelings she has anymore

the last five years showed me everything - its like the writers and dsr want to hide everything and just prolong the other stuff and lg doesn't seem to know how to play lorelai anymore

Maybe it's Rory asking Lorelai's advice about Logan's proposal that propels Lorelai to just come out and tell Luke what she wants. She clearly is in no position to offer any real advice about marriage, and maybe in trying to explain that she has some realization and decides to go back to SH and just once and for all lay all the cards out... on the diner counter.
