What bugs me about next week's show is that it should be all about Rory and Lorelai (in fact wasn't there some stuff about ASP wanting the last show of the series to be that way) but instead we have Dopey (why? why? why?) a big Gilmore-style party, and lots of hints that Luke is going to be tortured re what Lorelai's feelings really are (like it's some kind of law that he has to be made miserable, first April cancels, then he thinks Lorelai still cares and starts thinking he may be spending time with her over the summer, as per his comments to Zak, then ofcourse, the let down) If it really is the last 2 shows, there is enough Rory drama to take care of that aspect of it, why not have the rest of it be Luke and Lorelai barelling toward eachother again at top speed.

I find the timing of MA's report suspicious. last night on AA he said he hadn't heard a word, then today he has a big announcement after everyone (fans and critics) raved about the episode? I don't buy it. I think they are just trying to get everyone all worried that they aren't coming back and get lots of publicity about how the show has finally returned to form and S8 would be good and then, boom! we'll get an announcement.

I also don't think that LG and AB would drag things out like this. They must know that the other actors and crew need to look for work if the show isn't coming back.

The CW is so stupid. They've screwed up how they've handled so many shows -- first Everwood, then the SherPas fiasco, and now the will they/won't they over Veronica Mars and GG. After all this, why would fans trust them with any new shows?
