I agree about Luke being at the graduation, simply due to the character reference. They just made a whole big deal about that, so this seems kind of odd now. Unless maybe he gracefully backs out so Chris won't feel on edge at his daughter's graduation, which I could so see him doing. But at the same time, I also wouldn't be surprised if Rory didn't ask him since they've barely interacted the past two years.

I feel like Lorelai should totally go on the boat trip with Luke because it's SO PERFECTLY SUITED TO EACH OF THEM NOW. Boating and nature for Luke. Hotels and Barnacle Billy's for Lorelai. Come on now! That's the balance the two of them have needed to find forever.

And I also think it's weird to go through all this and cancel the trip (and isn't there a trip with Rory that's going to end up cancelled too? Though they haven't brought that trip up at all yet) and then even have Lorelai and Rory plan a trip if they're not going somewhere with trips here. Although I think it could be saved for season 8, they may not bring it up until 801 or something and use it for a time skip (which wouldn't really be needed with Rory out of school, but they still might do anyway since they always have and could get back to "real time" on the show that way). Or maybe it was just a tactic to get April away for the summer and Lorelai free from the inn a while so they would have time to be together and work everything out in the summer.

I vote YES for Season 8! Especially now that I see that DR and his writers are getting things up again. Maybe Lauren has something to do with it, being a producer now?

I was talking to someone the other day about the possibility of a season 8 - basically we ended up with the conclusion. Get a hat, put two pieces of paper up in it. Throw it up in the air whichever lands closest to you, there's your answer.

Lorelai is really ramping up the diner appearances - two in one day in last night's episode - that's pretty good given how long it has been since she even stepped foot in the place.

Pretty much the whole town is invited to Rory's graduation but then they realise it gets out of hand so it's the elimination process of who will and will not go, in the end none of them go. Don't shoot me if it doesn't come out on screen exactly like that, that's the general gist of it.
