I am not saying they shouldn't be acknowledged. I am saying she should thank everyone present who helped her. I don't think Rory is saying any speech at the Yale graduation is she? I can't imagine her grades putting her in the top 2 for speeches. Maybe in the top 10% but not the top 2 people. I would expect if she is at SH and her grandparents are there, that she acknowledge them there too. You don't give credit to just the person throwing you the party. That is what I am saying. On E/R I love the characters, some of my faves, but they caused more trouble than they were worth.

Also at the end of her stay with them, Rory understood very well what her mother had gone through and why she left there. She has a better relationship with them than Lorelai, but she now does as she pleases with them without any obligation.

glo i was explaining to clmorrow what happened in the DCC because she asked if rory did/didnt acknowledge them. I don't think she saw the DCC yet, so i was explaining to her who she thanked.

Oh, MAn.

I was going to say last night that everything seemed to point to the show coming back, IMO. They set up Luke to be free all summer, and we know Lorelai will be as well. April is going to camp. Hell, even Zach is going to be away for the summer and then come back a couple of months later. To me, all of that just screamed "setup" so they could do an "off-camera" summer and return in the fall.

My only problem with that is that I want to see LL's summer.

I really always thought and hoped they would be back - at least for a shortened season - and I'm sticking with that. I really don't think MA's words changed anything. Of course, the waiting and not knowing for sure sucks. Really sucks. But I'm so tired of the back and forth that at this point all I can do is want a S8 and hope for the best. At the *very* least I would hope for a "wrap up" if there is no S8 as Dawn O (it was her that said that, right?) said. I don't know how this would work contractually, but hopefully we won't need to worry about it.

Honestly, I don't know what to believe and not to believe about what decisions were made, weren't made or when. Deep down, though, my gut feeling is that after 7 years of this show - and remarkable success for "small" networks WB and then CW - if it wasn't coming back they would have advertised such by now. Maybe there are still discussions about details, but I really don't think they will have finished out the season not knowing about the next. All my opinion, of course.

Last night = *sigh* Awesome.

You might want to collect votes and just edit them into one post on the thread. We go through them quickly enough, that it will only be a day, at most, before people see the updates. Then post the updated post to the next thread, rather than every page.

I hate the drama in contract negotiations. It sucks.

but everyone at work that watches to show mentioned how awesome they thought it was. They all cried and really thought it was beautiful! good to hear.

Boy am I glad she didn't didn't do it. Lorelai yes for sure but she will do it in Stars Hollow where is should happen. Daddy of the Year doesn't deserve a thank you - period. Paying for two years doesn't qualify for a thank you in public. Especially not after what he did or better didn't do over all those years and most importantly what he did this year.
