aw i just watched the episode. so adorable!!!! lol. i am psyched for the rest of the season. never thought i'd say that either. haha. i really hope gg comes back for one more season, even if it's shortened. it's getting good again. hmmm, LL talking and being cute all of a sudden and it's getting good. coincidence? i think not. lol.

So I was right when I spec'ed that it started out as a song for Rory and switched to Luke, who came in late.

Can't wait to see it.

Yes, the transition and emotions were very clear and made for a wonderful scene. I think it was "waw" (wow and awww combined).
This should've been 7.10 not 7.20.
I'm lamenting that it might be over before it's barely begun ....

I almost wish they had played old LL clips during the song....so, so cheesy, I know, but it would have made my shipper heart happy.

I need to add my WOW to the bunch! This wasn't the first time I teared up this season. The letter reading scene during Luke's custody hearing also made me tear up, although I was in the minority. But this time I'm not alone! Awesome, awesome scene.

It feels so bittersweet. These last eps seem like the end of things, like everyone is pulling out all the stops, and we're seeing closure to everything. Well, except for L/L getting married.

I hope there is a S8. However, I'm wondering if at the time this was filmed, the poignancy of things ending came into play.

I kind of wish this was the last season, and L/L had been married this season, and had closure. Extending it kind of mucks up the ending this show is supposed to have, at Rory's graduation. Now I'm babbling.

Anyway, I'll probably really be crying next week at Rory's graduation! The only fly in the ointment is that Luke won't be there, but Chris will be. However, we have the final party to look forward to.

I loved how Lorelai sang looking straight at Luke and didn't close her eyes or really avert her gaze at all.

One thing I noticed was that LG was not genuinely singing. You can tell it's not her real voice...I'm guessing maybe LG is actually a very decent singer (I don't know why I feel like I read this somewhere, but I swear I did), and they couldn't have Lorelai sounding that good.

LG is DEFINITELY a solid alto singer. Heard her on Ellen and in Because I Said So. I think IWALY was just a little too high for her and it worked out well, if only because she was supposed to be drunk/tipsy when she sang it.

It was definitely her singing, just not quite in her comfort zone.

Another WOW!!!! It was one of the best LL scenes ever, and I love the way Rory and the town were there to witness it. We need that 8th season of LL if this is what we'll get!

I don't want the denial, but I understand it if it happens the way I imagine. I think Lorelai is embarrassed about letting the town in on her feelings and failed relationships again. She's regretting the public setting for her seranade and certainly isn't going to admit to anyone else, even Rory, how she really feels for him until after/if something happens with him. I think Miss Patty confronts her in the diner or someplace public, and in that situation I can understand the denial. I think they can make the denial/hurt aspect work, but I wish they could work it out in the same ep. Since I can't see them doing that but not kissing, I guess it'll be in 7.22. Fingers crossed that won't be the last GG ever.
