I wish the scene continued after Lorelai jumped off the stage and Luke went after her and they kissed. I would have loved that rather than the dragging out we're getting. I just want those two crazy kids back together already!

Oy, that karaoke scene! No matter how much I watch it I still get teary eyed. It's on my computer, my DVR and my iPod. I can't wait to watch the whole episode again when I get a chance.

No, because like Blaab said before, this really showed that she was there to voice her feelings and nothing more, she did not expect Luke to respond. It was in her, she had to let it out. That's all.

So I just watched the epi during lunch, and I love Lorelai's performance, but I must say, I forgot how funny Kirk's was, and also Patty and Babette singing "so long, farwell.." when Lorelai leaves the dinner. I laugh outloud every time!

The look on Patty and Gypsy's faces when they turn and see Luke, PRICELESS!!

I think Patty's look is right up there, if not surpassing Rory's.

Also? I agree that Luke needs to propose this time. Her really, really does. I think he should also propose and then whisk her off to get married right away, before either of them has a chance to screw it up.

I also agree it is luke's turn now! but how he does it, I don't know, planning, eloping... don't really care actually as long as it's GG-like and moving. I don't think they can screw it up after all they've been throuh (and all we've been through!) What could separate them ? really?

Luke has to propose! He has to have his moment, and Lorelai has made grand gestures like, the letter, Karaoke, going to the diner, apologizing first in the maze, and asking for the car help. She needed to do more in my opinion, but now it is Luke's turn to show he trusts her and has forgiven her. He needs to do the asking.

Morning all - was it crazy to wake at 3:30 to watch the ep?

Just finished and it was great, I agree the best for the season, which given last week is saying something. Maybe next week wont be so back knowing how the final ends.

The one thing I noticed this week was the tire mark on the floor of the diner still there, maybe as a reminder of his other dark day from this year?

So anything new in the last 100 post?

No DCC or promo from the CW video yet?

So up on last week, maybe the word finally got out the L&L are BACK!

I'm hoping (even with Chris) that they are up next week and for the final, how good would it be it they again hit 5 million for the final.

Hi, everyone! Awesome thread.

Okay. Some comments about last night's eppy:

First and foremost, it was great to see so many of the townies at kareoke. Fab-u-lous. Kirk's song was hysterical. Sean Gunn is hysterical. He, Melissa, Kelly Bishop and Liza deserve their own shows.

Does anyone notice how much happier LG seems with SP? is it just me? if these two don't get along in real life, it definitely works for their chemistry on screen. H-O-T.

How cute was it when Luke came over to sit on the stool to talk to Lorelei? So good. Reminded me of their interaction in S1. Sweet.

Rory was perfect in this episode. Very believable.

And Gel boy? I can't say enough. He has gotten so good in the last couple of episodes. Kudos to Matt.

Paris with the cake. LMAO!!!

Sookie's advice about putting on the flannel was priceless. I thought Lorelei might walk into the diner in one.

Finally, the SONG. I cried. It felt so personal; I felt almost embarassed to be witnessing it. The reaction from the crowd was amazing, when they saw Luke come in.
SP was wonderful, but noone can top Lauren Graham for unspoken dialogue. Her whole demeanor changes when Luke comes in. It is one of her best acting shots. EVER.

Who knew DSR could write this well? It is SO SAD that it took so long to get these quality episodes. Pray for a Season 8, even a short one. Where EVERY episode is as good as the one before.

A girl can dream.
