You know what also sticks out ? Ever since Luke put that black hat on he faded into the background. Black pretty much helps you with disappearing better. Now he steps out more and more and with the blue hat on you see him better. He sticks out in the diner again. He doesn't fade into the background anymore because the blue just catches your eye.

You don't think they would do anything evil like have him propose on the boat trip, and then they just show up engaged at the start of S8? Because that would just be mean.

- LG and SP rocked the karaoke scene. Best scene they've had together since "the dance."
- Luke should propose; it would not only give him "his moment," it would also show he's truly put the C/L debacle behind him and forgiven her.

I completely agree that Luke needs to have his moment. He's grown so much over this season because of April and coming to realization of how much Lorelai did and still does love him. I just wonder where his moment will happen...I think he'll plan it and I would love to see it happen at the DFI, sort of a full circle thing where they had thier first kiss. Oh who am I kidding, it could happen anywhere and I would still be just as thrilled

Well, since flashback scenes are possible now (with DR), it IS possible that we'll see a ring on her finger, and then have them reaccount the events later, and MAYBE even see it.

Because if you don't see the prospal, it's like one of those things, like it's not gonna work out. A device.

I think it should be Lorelai because of what Luke said to her on ther street in ep2.
It'll show that she finally has grown up. Despite of his hurtful words, she makes herself vulnerable, that'll mean she has overcome her passive behavior.

But Luke's proposal will definitely melt all of L/L fans' heart.

As to puttting Luke on his diner's stools - I think I know maybe why ASP avoided it - I had to rewatch that first scene between L/L after he sat on the stool three times before I caught what was being said - maybe she realized that certain assets needed to be a bit under wraps if you wants the viewers to catch everything that was happening.

It was a bit like the looks between L/L in R&R when they are staring at one another while at the dinner table in the DFI and Miss Patty and Babette are talking - I never even realized they were talking for a really long time after the first time I saw the episode.
