Thanks Cappu! The EW review is awesome, (although I think she was much too harsh on Lane), especially this:

Remember when she[Lorelai] looked like a darted deer at the end before scooting off the stage and how in the audience it looked like Liz Torres the actress and not Miss Patty the character had to clutch at her heart in disbelief?

How? I'm still crying - every time. And not gonna share how many times, it's pathetic.

and the prize for best nonLorelai or nonLuke look definately goes to Rory. OMG. Take another look at her. Nice shot.
Totally. Added another dimension - why did they wait so long to bring it all back? This is why I fell in love with the show.

Or maybe spend next week's hour rewatching this ep? If the tape hasn't died of exhaustion.

Oh, and if there is another season, I am hereby requesting many more scenes in which Luke sits on stools in the diner - oh, sorry, wrong thread?

I bet Lauren blew everyone off their feet with the performance. Does someone know how many takes it took to get it done ?

I just listened to the mp3 and wow - just wow. How her voice changes and how you can tell when Luke walks in and how she feels about certain lines and the quivering in her voice - awesome.

I feel like we should sic Al Gore on DSR for wasted a precious commodity like L/L's chemistry all season. Absolutely amazing what a difference a couple of scenes between two specific characters/actors can redeem a show and rescuitate a fanbase.

I dl'd that scene onto my iPod, laptop, along with recording the entire ep to DVD and VHS. I'm covered .

Ha. I think my tape already died of exhaustion. Around viewing number 25 last night of the singing, it just kinda started skipping and that's when I knew I'd watched it too many times.

I'm stupidly disappointed about the fact that they aren't going to just get them together by the end of the next episode so I could just really enjoy the last episode with them in full swing together -- phooey. They really didn't need to add this stupid extra bit of tension with Luke getting hurt to get me back to watch the finale - really, I would have watched anyway....rats.

Ya, I'm a big fan of this too. I don't know why. But I liked it!

I hate that we have to watch them take a step back, just after this huge step, but I kinda understand. I appreciate that DR isn't rushing it. I know it wouldn't be rushing at all, but kinda, in the way that things have happened, it's natural, that they don't just hop into bed, although I'd like them to. Luke with his shirt off beats Luke sitting on a stool. Wait, Luke with his shirt off sitting on a stool. But that would NEVER happen. But just think! lol

Man I can't keep my hands off the episode

The diner scene - so funny. How she checks out the cap. Luke looking at her like she is crazy. The what, nothing, what combination
How Lauren pronounces Das Boot Oh my tummy

Frick, I thought I could just go by with ONE viewing of this episode (before the set comes out, or at least until summer), but I'm gonna download it ASAP. Luke just had it going on.

Oh ya, and Lorelai wasn't so bad either. lol.

I don't know if you guys already talked about that, but I was wondering: if there is an 8th season, they'll probably be a new proposal, so who's gonna propose? Lorelai or Luke?

And by the way, feeling less depressed, but still not over the karaoke scene!

I think this is one of the best LG performance in GG since the beginning and I think the scene is even more powerful than the breakup scene at the end of season 6 and it was already amazing!!

You can add me to the LG girl crush list!

Thanks for the article Cappucino! Great review!
