Hee! Funny but very true.

I'm catching up on Desperate Housewives (I needed a laugh) so anyone else miss the fact Lorelai didn't see a shrink like Susan, and I'm not including the idiot in Partings.

Catching up.

Thanks for the thread, Cappu.

Thanks for the global promo transcript and clip, 2ggObsessed. It looks to me like the middle part of the kiss, since Luke's just beginning to wrap his arm around her neck and in the CW one, it's already wrapped around tightly. I just hope they speak a bit. I don't want their "heavily implied" joint future only implied by that kiss.

Thanks Nadine for the YouTube version and the info you added.

GGAva, thank you for the podcast transcript.
Again, the show was only supposed to end in a LL wedding if they hadn't managed it before in mid season, but we were supposed to see them together in some formal capacity in the end, at least cohabitating. The wedding was supposed to be a special episode somewhere along the way, not as the goal for the final. But they missed every opportunity for that.

I hope someone asks Ausiello where those initial LL end plans he got (married and pregnant) came from and what happened to that. I think even with the show over, it's possible that the next few podcasts may still have some GG residue. I hope.

Thanks anvils for linking the CW GG superlatives page. Finally, giving a bit of attention to the ending of a long running, wonderful show. Too little, too late as a proper send off, but better than nothing.

Finally, lancer once again, thank you for the 7.21 transcript. It's hard to believe and sad that there's only one more left .....

Yep just one more Saturday finishing of the final TS.

I'd also like to know what happened with the marriage/baby spoiler, was that DSRs plan for the end of S8?

They put it on the back burner since they thought they would get another season and they needed something big for it.

The last 10 BB's, they're more in denial than Lorelai.

I'm curious as to whether BBs actually believe Christopher is a good father or if they overlook his shortcomings because they like Christopher and Lorelai together. I'm not judging -- just very curious.

Back to studying again.

I always assumed they just overlooked it. I know I do that with characters I like sometimes. (I will even admit to having done that with Lorelai until mid season six when she just got too hard to defend, lol.) But who knows, I guess they could like that he's become more of a presence in Rory's life now. I also see the argument a lot that Lorelai took Rory away from him, so maybe they go with the theory that he didn't have a chance to be a father. (Which I can't agree with at all, but hey.)

I think they pay as much attention to her as Chris does - Rory who Not that I blame them since I have no interest in Rory either.

Cappu, I'd like to hear it from him, and what changed and by whom. He broke the story first.
If they got to the end of the season and still no resolution for another, they should've had a time skip, and still showed that. There are always stories to go on from there.

Lorelai says in the diner:

"This is more like a 'see you later'".
Oy, don't we wish.

I often wondered if the network had anything to do with his decision to "tone things back." They were always so gung ho about a season eight (until they suddenly "had enough programming" and didn't need GG anymore yeah right) that they didn't want the season to end with too much closure. Then again, I have no clue if they have that power over a showrunner.

More like a see you later on ABC Family and my DVDs. Sad. I still don't think I've really grasped that Tuesday is THE END.

If you're still in a marriage-minded mood Tuesday night (CW and Global at 8), there's bound to be somebody getting hitched in the final episode ever of Gilmore Girls – my money's on young Rory, though I gather that Lorelai and Luke are back together at last. Again, it's now pretty much a moot point. We are not going to be around Stars Hollow to watch a third-generation Gilmore Girl grow up and become addicted to caffeine (and what would they call her anyway, "Lai?").click

So in 7 years Lorelai goes from knowing Luke is an angel to a "realization" wow she's come a long way!
