Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but i've been too depressed to be around on the threads much.
In the extended promo, when you see Luke walking towards Lorelai, does it look like he has something pink in his hand? Like maybe the necklace box or something??

It looks like a hot pink or red bag to me.

Loramful - I can't remember anymore what kind of event brought that up but I made some smilies for some Lorelai/Lauren fans over at the main board or was it the Lauren board - see I can't remember

I don't see this season as a betrayal of anything that came before it--characters made very bad decisions based on pain and anger, and I hated what some of them did, but it doesn't negate what happened earlier. I'm taking the long view of the show and its characters, and I understand that sometimes they had to through rough patches and dark spots in their stories.

I'm excited about the finale. It may not be completely satisfactory, but it sounds like it will leave everyone--L/R, L/L, L/E/R--in a nice place. It'll be easier to leave Stars Hollow knowing Rory is off on a grand adventure, L/L have found their way back to each other, Lorelai and Emily reach some sort of understanding, and the Townies are still their crazy, lovable, generous selves.

You are right, we did get more than other ships. I shipped, in various degrees, Remington Steele/Laura, Joel/Maggie, Maddie/David, Captain Janeway/Jakotay, Lois/Clark, Brenda/Dylan, even Mr. Spock with Nurse what's her name. None of them had as many good scenes as L/L.

I'm still feeling regret over the waste of this season. I suppose I'll be over that once the show is over completely.

I think I will just enjoy the episode and hold on to the good memories I have. I am not as crushed as I was when Buffy ended. I guess that devastation taught me acceptance. I had hoped for a long time for a tv movie after Angel ended, but with time that faded. I am sure that is what will happen when GG ends. I will miss all of you as much as the show, I think.

I'm not sure you can compare X-Files/JAG shipping with Everwood/GG shipping. On cop and military shows where you're shipping partners, the show can't exist with the couple together. Family dramas and comedies are totally different. That said, we did have a really good run with LL. From the trilogy through the arrival of April, LL was really straightforward for a tv romance. That's part of what hooked me and a large reason the end of S6 and beginning of S7 were so disappointing to me.

At this point, I'll take what the finale gives me. With regret, but I'm sure with a smile too.

I can't say GG was ever my favorite first-run show, but it's by far my favorite show to rewatch. (You can't exactly cuddle up with a couple of episodes of The Wire after a bad day.) I can still enjoy the old episodes and I hope I will for years to come.

Thanks to everyone on this board for spoilers, clips, pix, maintenance, and the all-imporant analysis and speculation. Like many, reading this board has smoothed over some real-life rough patches. I've appreciated the company!

ITA! Yes, I know I won't be completely satisfied, but from what we can see of the episode, it will be pretty close to classic GG and I'd love to go out happy & talking about the good times

There is the JavaJunkie thread on the GG board, here, which is most likely where the mods there will direct us too. It's probably only logical to send the LL fans to the thread meant for LL fans. But I'm still hoping we'll get a thread for all of us, who don't post in the JJ thread that much.

It was the LG thread on the GG board, I think. They combined "Lorelai" "amazing" and "wonderful" to come up with a word to describe Lauren .

can i ask? why you don't post there? it's not much different than here. except for not being able to talk about future epis.
