I will watch the Finale, as all the other 152 episodes, alone at home.No one I know watches GG as intense as I do plus all of them are not spoilered and have just seen the 6th season (in Germany it´s all slower).
I know I will cry like a baby (I couldn´t hold myself back with Buffy as well).

Rory has to leave unexpectedly for the new job and there are lots of things to organize before that so Lorelai probably wants to help her with that and therefore doesn't also have time to organize the party/turned reenactment. It could still be that there's a few days till Rory has to leave.
OK, I'm not blubbering yet, but I sure am blabbering.

I think the descriptions say it's the next day, my SPEC is the party it rushed and has to be that day/night 'cause Rory if off the next morning. After the kiss Luke agrees to an early morning breakfast (that he was not planing) to say goodbye in private to Rory.

Dirty SPEC Luke locks up the diner after Rory leaves so L&L can have some alone time upstairs, of course we'll never see it, so bring on the fanfic!

There was a caption with one of the promo pics that said "'Rory Gilmore Day' is a smash", so maybe the whole day is a celebration? I wonder how they keep Rory and Lorelai out of town while the party is being set up. Maybe Sookie's right and Luke stays up all night to get it ready while they sleep.

So, I guess we'll have only two more podcasts with info about the show - today's about the cancellation and next week about the finale.

I hope they address the fact that there seems to be virtually no hype for a proper send off. I guess this is all (and so little of it) that the network thinks the show deserves after a wonderful long seven season run. It's a shame. I didn't expect the end to be so awful because of all the stuff going on in the background, I always thought it would only be sad because it's hard to part with the show, not because the way it's ending (abruptly, who's to blame, no send off, no pay off, no pomp or celebration etc.) ....

But how long do you think will the authors continue to write LL-stuff till they get bored ?!?

There are only a few writers out there who are able to write REALLY good stories (like sosmitten, Maria14, irish-surf-chick, catfight-productions (ocdwthlhg - danagabrielle), and some of them stopped writing at early season 6...

...i`m afraid what will be in 6 months or maybe a year ?!?

Is there a thread where you exchange your experience with different LL-stories ?!?

I can see that happening. I do think we'll get some words, hence the "heavily implied"...but I can see it coming in the form of a Rory/Lorelai talk, instead of a LL talk. I'd prefer an LL talk, but if I can just hear about a possible wedding or the boat trip, I'll take it

Still, I'm going to hold out hope to the end that LL will have a good (although inevitably too short) talk post/pre/during kiss....yep, feeling optimistic tonight, lol

Well they take the sets down each year to use the sound stages and town for other productions. So there is always hope.
