I’m glad Emily and Richard are there at the start of the party. I couldn't see them in the tarp pics so I thought they might only arrive in the evening. I really want them to be in on the surprise from the start. I'd love some Luke/Emily/Richard interaction too but I'm trying not to get my expectations too high.

I don’t understand why it takes Lorelai so long to have the Luke conversation with Sookie, though. I expected her to have the ‘who did this’ thought as soon as she arrived. Instead it looks like a couple of hours have passed because it’s dark by the time they have their talk.

I wasn't feeling it at first, but now I think it will be better in context. I’m pretty sure they’re in slo mo there which makes Lorelai look a little spacey. When we see the actual scene I’m expecting it to be less floaty and more urgent. Plus whatever they say to each other at that point will probably add to the emotion. I think it’ll be good.

I'd rather just wait and see....although with all this build up, it's inevitable that we'll feel somewhat let down and cheated as usual.

I'm looking forward to it personally, I don't care how long/when/where it happens.

So is the eptended promo on cw/video? like it matters.

ETA - I still love the idea of Luke inviting E&R but I'm leaning towards another townie calling or visiting them, maybe Kirk LOL

Thank you for the extended promo Jet, and for all the other clips and info throughout the years!!

I'm sure it'll be an enchanting GG episode, full of heart and quirk and celebration. And I'm so happy Emily and Richard are there.
It'll be so hard to say goodbye though, just as we'll see how hard it is for Lorelai to say bon voyage to Rory. I'll be a blubbering mess by then.

Some episode descriptions had Luke "joining" the girls for breakfast. In the last pilot scene, he only serves them and walks around the diner. I hope, since they're in a different place now after seven years, that Luke does sit with them, even for a while and we don't get the exact pilot last scene.

Maybe Rory jokes with them (or just with Lorelai) not to forget to invite her to their wedding and Lorelai doesn't shrug her off, or they discuss the boat trip LL will perhaps take and that's how LL's future together is "strongly implied" or however MA worded it.

ETA: Does Lorelai know about the cancelled boat trip?

But then Lorelai cancels the party, so unless she forgets to call I'm betting someone re-invites them.

Or Luke says he'll cancel the party for Lorelai, since she'll be busy getting things ready for Rory's goodbye.

And I wonder if the last scene in the diner, is the morning straight after the party or if a day or two have passed.
Rory has to leave unexpectedly for the new job and there are lots of things to organize before that so Lorelai probably wants to help her with that and therefore doesn't also have time to organize the party/turned reenactment. It could still be that there's a few days till Rory has to leave.
OK, I'm not blubbering yet, but I sure am blabbering.

No it's not and i don't get it.

Didn't they say they will give them a proper send off, something that the show deserves?, but there is nothing only 7th heaven stuff and a Gg DC.

To ignore them is not the send off that this show deserves, so CW go behind your anger (about the ending) and give them their deseved send off.
This show is, after next week was, your best show.

Sure we're still sad (maybe sometimes angry) that the show will be over next week but that doesn't stop us to give the show what it desereves.
To be there on Tuesday in front of the TV and in many other cases on the internet.
Now i'll go and send an e-mail to the CW because it's time for them to start their promised proper send off.

And 'cause i'm one of the internet cases i'll say thanks to everybody who made it possible to watch it.
