I'm not saying that ALL their interactions show that, and I understand that. I think it's okay that they had some purely friendship scenes as well. I know I'm in the minority, but I don't chalk that up to bad writing. I just don't need to see "it" in every L/L interaction. YMMV

Its not about ll its about how lorelai is being written--badly. Its supposed to be from her pov but her actions make no sense. Its just crap writing. LL and lroelai were better in the past. Motivations made sense. The flaws were not overemphasized but just a part of who she was. Its hard to understand this person and i think a lot of our sympathy comes from the past and the past portrayal of her.

Maybe Luke just needs to wait till she is emotionally down, can't think straight, shag her and a few days later declare that night meant a lot to him and she is IT for him. Maybe then she gets the memo. Oh yeah and by the way Luke don't do anything for her kid. Just ignore it but wait too late you already gave her a graduation gift. Damn you should have done it like Daddy of the Year.

See, things just don't make sense to me from an episode to episode perspective. It just feels like Lorelai has been extremely inconsistent, both in acting and in writing in the last few episodes. If Lorelai's so convinced that Luke doesn't care and Luke doesn't love her, why isn't she stressing about that with Rory and Sookie in 7.21? Instead it's all about her 'deciding' whether she has some kind of 'love' kind of thing for Luke or not. You can't have this premise that the whole reason for this season has been that Lorelai thinks that Luke doesn't love her and but then in the show have episodes where it's all about Lorelai questioning whether she has feelings for Luke or not and not once stressing out to Rory or Sookie that she doesn't think he cares (until she's beaten over the head by it with Luke abrupt action in the diner). Which story are they trying to tell? Does she love Luke and she thinks he doesn't love her, or she thinks Luke loves her and she's trying to decide whether she cares enough to try a relationship again.

Whole S7 didn´t make sense to me....no wait....from 6.09 on it didn´t make sense to me anymore.....

DR could have saved this show, but he didn´t. Even IF he thought that there would be another season, he dragged out the LC crap for far too long and turned Lorelai into an even bigger idiot than ASP did....

I concur. And I hated that DC scene with a passion. I also have my own opinions on what was done to the three years of R/L in the last two eps.

I can't believe that after seven years, I'm gonna end up the show hating both Lorelais...I guess maybe I shouldn't feel this way, but I do.

So be it.

The DC has to be almost the beginning of the episode, hasn´t it?
Because Rory prepares her resumes,Lorelai talkes about rollercoasters they want to visit in the summer and she tells Rory about the party - but Rory is going away- no summer/rollercoaster then?

I agree with most of you, knot, Cappu, fuzzy, others . There's no journey, no heart, no consistency. We are getting one of those romantic movies LG talked against, where it's obvious from the beginning who's the one, but because of contivances, pomp and circumstance, it all leads only to the very ending, when it finally culminates in a moment. She got the guy, he got the girl. UGH.

I wanted LL to grow which meant communicate, finally. The car lot scene, then her advice about boating with April, which he took and finally the karaoke were all supposed to seal the progress they've made, the realization they've each come to and establish the open dialogue without more misunderstandings. After all, it's the last two seconds of the whole show, for god's sake! How much time could they waste?! It's enough that we wasted a year and a half of OOC LL not communicating, it would've been nice if they were finally taken two steps forward, no steps back. This denial of their feelings for one another is stale, old, contrived and makes no sense.

They're the ones giving us a sweeping gesture, holding hands skipping moment (the kiss) in the last second, which we never asked for, we wanted to see a real normal, everyday life for them ....

Nubes, I think you're right about the timing of the DC. Does look like the teaser to me.

You shouldn't hate her, she doesen't deserve that.
She's an uncertain person and she need a 110% certainty to admit her feelings to herself.
After her song, for me out of the moment and not a gesture 'cause she started the song for Rory first, it seems all things getting well til he hears her denying.
His reaction, totally clear.
Her reaction of his reaction: He don't love me( i don't get it why it never occurs to her that he could've heared her).
DC:
She's sad and mad and is trying her best not to fall apart, maybe that's why are she says what she says.
Last epi. spec.
After Sookie told her Luke did all this she can see even when he don't love me he cares and goes and will thank him for that.
She hugs him 'cause she feels the strong need to do it and maybe she kiss him(mouth, cheek who knows) and Luke take the chance and show her her so desperate needed 110% certainty.

IMO the DCC is the teaser.
