Oh, absolutely. Couldn't agree more...I still believe they are soul mates, however ridiculous that concept is considering this season. I think ASP wrote them to be soul mates, and DR is screwing with it a little...but in the end, they are and always will be *meant to be*.

When I first started watching my sister's DVDs last summer, it was sort of absent-mindedly, and while I recognized that I enjoyed the show, I was not a die-hard fan by any means. It was only until I fully grasped the LL relationship/build-up (I watched the episodes and seasons randomly, so it took me awhile to put it all in order in my head) that I realized this was the first TV couple I'd ever seen that resonated with true love -- and then I was hooked. And I think that regardless of the crappy writing and execution that this season has been sprinkled with, this WILL come through in the series finale. The build-up in the past episodes may have been poorly constructed, but I truly believe the *bang* moment in 7.22 is going to be amazing.

I dont think one is more screwed up than the other.

they are both messed up..

I have certain days where i blame one more than the other though, because they change so quickly.

This thread is almost done but is anyone else past all the boo-hoos and ready to start thinking of favorite moments? I was thinking of my favorite cheesiest, worst moments (in true GG's fashion, as in "Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday...said in cheesy Italian accent) My favorite Lorelai as uber-mother moment was the whole "I thought you were with Dean, I was thinking, she's with Dean..." when Rory came back from Washington and confessed to kissing Jess. My favorite dreadful Luke/Lorelai schtick was the pulling sausages from his stomache routine. Best worst boyfriend Digger.

I actually really liked Max. If it weren't so damn obvious Lorelai and Luke were perfect together, I'd be rooting for Max to sweep through again. However, as it is, Luke all the way!!!

Heh, speaking of Max, he is presently asking her out on the "accidental" coffee meeting... I don't know what I'm going to do without GG after next Tuesday
