The last 2 episodes are seeming to kill my ll love and especially what i liked about lorelai.

SHE MARRIED ANOTHER MAN. Dude how can she think its his turn? She is damn needy for attention. Get over yourself.

The sick part is this show is going to leave me with the bitter taste of hating Lorelai in my mouth

No genki. That Lorelai is one funny woman. What does she knows, she jump right into a relationship before the scent of Luke was gone from her bed so I hardly think she can give her daughter advise.

What the heck is wrong with these Writers... L/L misunderstanding right to the end eh. Oh, I forgot... it S7 end.

I just had the chance to watch Ellen today and heard when Lauren Graham said some about it was time the show was over. (or somthing like that... short memory) But, wasn't AS-P asking and wanted an extra season? What were they going to do with the extra season. Oh, right, AS-P was going to use it for her show that wasn't picked-up when WB & UPN merge.

I am still in not thinking about the end of the show. I am just looking at it as the end of S7 and come September/October then it will hit me that the show is not really coming back. There!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One thing I must say though... it give mucho pleasure how much R/L talk about Luke and nothing about "him". Ha!

She was incredibly dismissive about the whole thing, like it wasn't even worth the time talking about it. I don't think she seemed particularly broken up about it. Could have been talking about the weather for all the emotion she put into it.

No. I do think it is odd in the extreme. And I must say, I am not a fan of the declaration of being over him. That might have been productive before she ran off and married her 22 year old's dad, you know? At this point, I am just over it. Whatever. That actually made me less excited than ever to watch the show. Way to go promo monkey. I enjoyed the promo more than the actual show clip. How does that happen? It must be some sort of season 7 paradox.

eta: I agree with afrayedknot, it was more like "Eh. Whatever. It is going to rain tomorrow." I can't quite figure out why they think having her declare herself over him is a good idea. Is it so it is all dramatic when he swoops in to save the day? Because it didn't sound like she was convincing herself or anything. She sounded like she is over him. That is so aggravating.

She doesn't think it's her turn because of his lack of reaction to the song. She thinks she totally embarrased him, and herself, so shes retreating back to that Lorelai who is denying her feelings.

I agree. They both are denying there feelings--probably afraid of being hurt again. Lorelai expected some sort of response from Luke if he still had feelings, and Luke said she would have come into the diner if it meant anything. They are both acting like idiots, but hopefully it will be better after the party.

no not really. I'll have to watch it again...but she seemed kind of blah about it.

The writing was off the last epi. I don't understand why it's always 2 steps forward and one step back for them. All it does it make us frustrated, to me it doesn't scream "good television conflict" or anything like that. It's been 7 years....and I think we deserve a really heartfelt talk between the two of them.

I honestly don't think it's an attempt to create "drama"; I think it's just a lack of understanding of the story on the part of the writers. I really think they are that clueless.

The promo is making me sad...one more episode of GG left and they are screwing with the cohesiveness?

I was afraid that the DC would be bad. I just went back and watched the promo and listened to the audio promo. It really helped!

in my fanfic dreams Luke meets a nice gal named Nancy and they have 3 kids and lorelai is stuck with 5 cats and has to watch luke being happy from a distance forever cause she SUCKS

I agree. I think LG played the scene wrong - she should have looked more uncertain about the whole thing. She's just so completely emotionless, as if is doesn't really matter. Cause now it looks like this is going to play out as an epiphany yet again. Hey, that Luke guy is so great cause he cares about Rory and he cares about me, gee I'm in love with him again.

you know the lesson i am getting from this

Lorelai doesn't know the meaning of love

Luke does and he has to teach her

yes he ****ed up last year but he's able to move past it, learn from his mistakes and he's all the better for it whereas lorelai is like a puppy chasing its tail.

It just seems like she's willing to let go of it so easily. She doesn't appear to want it that much cause she's pretty casual in the converation. There's denial and then there's that it just doesn't matter that much. Seemed like it just didn't matter enough to care. And it's only when Luke has offers a big lavish gesture of his love that she's willing to consider him again. If there are these huge, forever kind of feelings why is she so capable of turning them on and off without much effort?
