Spoilers - Gilmore Girls ~ Luke/Lorelai Analysis & Speculation #404 - Page 3

I don't expect Luke to have a negative reaction - I'm expecting more of a confused, maybe slightly embarrassed look from him. Maybe he winds up leaving the bar without talking to Lorelai because Lorelai is surrounded by Rory and the townies and, hopefully, Lane and he just quietly slips out.

I don't mind the Luke being hurt thing as long as (1) it doesn't last long and is cleared up by end of episode and (2) SP does a hurt look better than any male actor I can remember seeing.

But, if it is cleared up by end of episode then I don't know why the kiss will be so unexpected - because to clear it up, Lorelai would basically have to admit the song did mean something - so, he would know by 7.22 that something more than friendship feelings were lurking in Lorelai. Color me confused.

But, it is this little bit of confusion that makes me think that Luke's hurt thing will not be settled by the end of 7.21...oh, color me confused. As usual.

clmorrow well maybe (as I think I SPEC'ed before) it's not cleared up tomorrow and is part of the reason he is not at graduation and he does the party in the final for Rory more than Lorelai, which leads to the unexpected kiss. Maybe even a deceleration of love, 'cause the spoilers did say we will know where they stand.

So maybe they agree to be a couple again but take it slow and maybe the BIG kiss is at the party and is followed up by a 2nd the next morning when Luke opens the diner early for the girls.

I don't know if they clear the air in 21 after Luke overhears the conversation but we know they talk with each other in 22 because Lorelai cancels the party and tells Luke about it. So either he just sucks it up and thinks ok if she feels more comfortable that way I'll take what I can get. I have to show her I'm ok with the situation even though you sang the song.

There's a bunch of blurbs in articles today about the issue of season 8 - none of which, frankly, sound very positive. Something about the fact that all these negative opionions about another season coming out now make me nervous.

(I get Google alerts whenever GG comes up in a news story - makes it easier to keep up with what is/is not going on).

I figure if the negative opinions about the show haven't affected the CW's desire to bring it back yet, these aren't going to change it. There could be some discussions about the strike stuff and how soon they can be back to work on the show. We just don't know what exactly the discussions with LG and AB are. I'm fairly positive about an 8th season.

I agree. We don't know anything and from what I figure the only hold up is LG and AB. Not the C-dub. We just have to hope and pray they agree and we find out soon enough.

I can hear Luke rant when I read it and I know what Lorelai answers but sorry I don't know which episode it is.

Wait that has to be from season 4 and Rory is with them in the diner if I remember correctly. Damn now it's bugging me too
