I think what LG would like and what LG knows is right for the character are two different things. As a personal opinion she may think Lorelai should be with Christopher, but because of the way the story has unfolded over the years, she'd most likely understands that Lorelai is not supposed to be with Christopher and would end up with Luke. There is a difference between personal and professional opinions. And not only that, when LG is out in public she is out there to promote the show and get people talking about the show, to cause that uproar etc etc. And there is no easier way to get people to talk than to mention Christopher in any way, shape, or form.

But LG understands her character and the direction of her character and the vision ASP had for her character better than anyone else. She's the one who's been playing the role for 7 years. She knows how the character is supposed to sound and act. New people coming in don't know that sound, that character, as well as LG does. I'm not saying LG should write the scripts, but she should be able to say "Lorelai wouldn't do this or that.. I think she'd say this like that." etc etc.

Oh, I know you were kidding. I just have a hard time understanding the words and of course every time I get to the parts where we don't know the words the girls start squealing about some toy or something. Maybe this is a nap time activity, lol.

We celebrate our Queen ... which basically means nobody works and there are parties everywhere. So if he is there during the 29th already really, because it starts that night, I hope he packed some Oranje clothing and well, a bunch of advils ...

But if in Amsterdam the 29th/30th (or any other city in the Netherlands really) I hope your brother doesn't expect to see anything like a Museum or something ... because all closed, he will get to attend a cool party for free though

Well, I'm off to Disneyland with my daughter and hubby for a week. I have to watch the show on DVR when I get back. It will be hard to wait!

Interesting. I love the education I get at FF. I'm not really sure what they had planned there, but I'm sure they'll be up for anything.

There is some for all ages though ... different music, markets and strange old-fashioned Dutch traditional games and all (they always tend to freak me out a little) ...

And Mots, I agree with your post about LG and some influence. I have no worries about that ... Actually I would think the writers should listen to all actors now that have been around quite some (longer than the writers). I have felt Emily was not so 'herself' in all we have seen this season. Maybe if the actors had more say in this, not writing the SL, but the way things are expressed and conveyed and all, that might not have been so in for instance Emily's case also.

Oh wait, Lorelai and Luke

... they will kiss, passionately. Ain't that something!!!

I have still a fondness for Paul Anka The Dog that he was no help for Christopher and didn't find the level, Christopher needed in "To Whom It May Concern". My logic: no PA - no letter - no L&C break up.
