Luke proposing to Lorelai - wow never expected that one

Nope, I think April WAS the reason why he was distancing himself from Lorelai - cos as he said himself, he could only concentrate on one thing at a time and he thought things were cool with Lorelai. He figured he could put all of his attention into his daughter and Lorelai didn't object either.

He didn't use April to shut Lorelali out of his life; he had no clue he was shutting her out. I think that caption is worded incorrectly.

It's ridiculous.

When Lorelai proposed we all remember his reaction..he wasn't scared at all.

April has been the reason that made him slow down, he needed to figure out the whole father thing, what has happened, a girl that didn't seemed interested in being related and knowing her father , the mother that hasn't told him and doesn't seem to trust his intention...Lorelai not knowing about April.
Discovering he had a daughter and the way he delt with the fact tore them apart,it has been the reason not the excuse.

But i see this whole thing more like him proposing in the middle of the street, Weston's might only be near by, just like the almost kiss in 5.02 was practically in front of Weston's, but who payed attanetion to that?
