That one seems to have a general agreement here. But you're starting the thread, if you want to change around the title into some other format, that's your call

And yet, we got this BS anyway, for practically a whole season.
Actually I stated that the writers went on a marathon viewing session of the old seasons during the winter hiatus. Prior to that they were too busy with production to take the time to watch just a few old episodes.

During the winter hiatus, they did that to try to figure out why the viewers were not embracing the Season 7 story line. Yes, they were honestly surprised by the negative reaction to the story line because they truly believed that it was good and would be appreciated by the base. In an attempt to understand what the fans so disliked, no actually hated, about the story, the writers went back to view the earlier seasons.

We can only hope that they learned something and I think they did. It is unfortunate they did not view the old seasons prior to beginning season 7 because (apparently) they arrogantly thought they knew this show and its characters based on season 6. I gather after reviewing the previous seasons, they achieved a sort of epiphany. They claim that they have now gained insight into the reality of the story and the characters and understand why so much of the base was upset.

Obviously the current writers were impressed with the old episodes since we are being given a buffet of the those stories being addressed in these new episodes. We can only hope that they caught the essense of the characters of the early season Luke and Lorelai.

I wonder, if during the summer hiatus between season 5 and season 6 ASP and DP had been forced to view the previous seasons, would we have gotten the same season 6?
