Everyone knows what happened behind the camera - the changes and deals and what not. They know how it works and can put two and two together.

Kasia, Jessi and you, are the only ones that keep my hopes up for a s8. Every other article is so negative.

Well, we are very optimistic people and there are some really huge clues that there will be an eigth season, while the articles are all just speculations and they know nothing more than we do. If one of us would write an article itwould be the same, but not a new clue

I mean if you just look at the changes they did, the deals they made I could write an article that speaks for another season and it's based on facts and not on what people speculate or rather want for the show. Most of them said already it would be nice if the show ends this season. I don't want the show to end because they are not done telling the whole story. There is so much missing and next season would be without strings attached to stupid contracts and putting actors into an a-storyline they should have never been in in the first place.

I believe you. I'm for L&L kiss in 7.21 and I'm sure the later L&L make the first step to their reconciliation, the better. We have no signs (I mean: tour reports, spoilers etc.) telling us something like wedding party/elopment/ could happen in the last scenes of 7.22. I think, even the proposal isn't for sure; paradoxal, it let's me hope there will be a continuation.

Since DR - and probably others - have known for awhile about the fate of the show, it makes no sense to me at all that they wouldn't announce it if the show was coming back next year. The only reason I think they are keeping it quiet is because it isn't coming back - otherwise, it makes no sense.

DR said way back, early int he season, that the last episode this year would be written so that it could be either the series or the season finale. I think the fact that all the townies are going to be in it and it is a bon voyage to Rory it is the end. It seems like the end to me.

Maybe it is coming back so that's the reason we have not seen "Returning soon for the 5 last episodes EVER"

Maybe right now no news is good news 'cause as I've been saying for months (and someone else said there was a spoilers) I doubt the CW will pass up the chance for increased ratings by not promoting the last 5 eps if there is no S8.

I think they would promote the "last five episodes", especially the finale, but they wouldn't start the promotion too early - people would get bored, forget, lose track. So it really doesn't tell us anything yet.

I agree, but this weeks promo might have a mention if they are the last episodes. Not every week from now on but at least the promo after the hiatus should mention that.

What difference will it make to the CW if the ratings go up if it is the last season? They already have the advertisers locked in to a certain amount of money through the end of the season regardless of how many viewers they get - I still think they don't want to put the lightning rod out there about the end of the series so as to stem the flow of critical pieces about the show - just my opinion, obviously.

ETA: I'm betting the not emotional enough scene is between Lorelai and Rory...especially if it is the finale of the series.
