Unless there's a significant time skip, I can't imagine we are going to see Luke propose - that would be pretty fast especially if they aren't even back together until 7.20 or later....I know they can do it - it is tv - but, it would seem too soon to me, but if it is the end, bring it on.

Good morning all and thanks for the new thread.

Possibly to throw the media and anyone working on the set off about the real ending in order to keep it a surprise and hype viewers’ anticipation until the episode airs. That’s what they did with the series finale of Sex and the City, except I believe they filmed three different endings.

I think lots of shows learned after the Friends finale was leaked before it aired, if my memory serves me right.

LC broke up in February. Assuming that the timeline for 7:18 is the same time period as when it actually airs (April), that then would be about 3 months since the split. By 7:21 – 7:22 another month may have passed. That’s enough time for a proposal.

It’s not as if they just met and are now getting to know each other. They’ve been together for a long time and have engaged before. They know that they haven’t stopped loving each other and would be marrying for the right reasons this time. Why wait any longer than necessary?

They had so many problems with communication and honesty. In real life, it would take a lot more time to rebuild a relationship after what they had been through, if it could be rebuilt at all. That goodness this in GG, where anything is possible. I would like to see them engaged too. I don't think there is enough time for a wedding. Right now 7.21 (rightfully with Rory graduating) and 7.22 seem to be centered on Rory from the spoilers we have.

I do believe a decision about an 8th season has been made. I think it is going to happen.

Sorry I'm having trouble with my internet connection today. It's so slow, I hope this post will show up. One single post is all I'm asking for...

Anyway: Yeah I told you about a week or two ago that the decision has been made a while ago. And yesterday I told you again when the topic came up, but since I feel like I am posting and posting but no one is reading I didn't point it out again and again.

I was told that the decision season eight or not was made weeks ago (I know it for five or six(?) weeks now and I don't know how long before the decision was made).

Unfortunately I can't tell you WHAT the decision is, I only know that the negotiations and all that stopped a while ago and they rolled the dice.

So I don't think they are gonna shoot two endings and I also don't think that a poll on any website is going to change whatever they have decided

I have always thought they had already made the decision as well. What seems a bit inconsiderate is that if they decided there will be no 8th season, why they wouldn't tell the crew so they can look for new jobs. I'm guessing they haven't told the crew because wasn't there some report from someone who was at USC shoot and a crewmember said no decision was made yet? Unless the crew has also been told to keep quiet about the future....which, of course, is possible I guess.

I think MM signing up for a new show leaves me personally with no doubt that this is the end of the series....

Since I think they already had something in their hands around Christmas it's nice to hear that the decision is finally made. Never bought that anyways.

I can't believe they're most likely going to make us wait till the upfronts, two days after 7.22, to announce the show's fate. I just hope all these neg. rumours were to initiate lots of buzz for the show and the CW, nothing else, though if to be realistic, I think the show's really ending.

I saw that the production on Saw IV will only have 6 weeks of filming time, meaning it will be done by beginning of June - which would leave SP plenty of time to work on a new series if he does get snapped up - which I hope he does because I despise horror films and won't see this Saw IV thing. Given that the franchise has made so much money, I'm hoping he gets really really well paid to do this kind of stuff - I admit to being disappointed he chose a horror film, but, whatever....

it makes no sense to me - why not a big buget movie with a supporting supporting role - because I will never even see this movie he is making becaues I hate horror movies - make a movie like babel and be one of the people in the bus but a horror movie - SP what are you thinking - he does this and LG does Evan almighty makes no sense

I asume he knows by now but didn't when he signed for this flick.

As for L&L, in my opinon it's time for Luke to take that leap of faith. He didn't jump before and knows it was a mistake. I think he has learned the only way he will be happy is with Lorelai by his side. A child is wonderful but shouldn't/cannot be your whole life. He's got April roughly 3 months total time. That means he's alone most of the year. I think we are in for some interesting stuff when this hiatus is finally over.
