I could see it being a little bit of both. I could see Lorelai wanting a car just because it's pretty and Luke trying to convince her she needs a safe, reliable, practical car. And her getting frustrated because she knows he's right, plus it's been awkward and they don't know how to handle it.

That's got me wondering too. Why exactly are they irritated? Because Luke thinks Lorelai should get this car and Lorelai thinks she should be able to get this car? or are they irritated because they've lost so much time? Are they irritated because they're right back where they started - just friends?

So many possibilities. Just wonder how the arguing and why the arguing starts. I'm guessing it'll be that they are arguing about cars and how one thinks this is right and the other thinks this is right and it's one big symbolic conversation or something.

I wonder if Lorelai was looking at something small or sporty and cute and Luke was looking at the SUV, then Lorelai decided to get the bigger more safe car. Maybe it's a sign that Chris is fun but not safe and Luke is BIG and reliable?

Ooh, they're having a story on the local news coming up about who get's the ring when an engagement is broken. Sorry, it jut made me wonder what Lorelai did with Luke's ring.

The woman is allowed to keep the ring if she wants. She doesn't have to give it back. Lorelai probably has a nice collection of rings sitting in a box somewhere.

And seriously.. that maze is huge. I'm still amazed.

Someone I know kept her ring and then sold it to a jeweler when her engagement was called off.

But I'm sure Lorelai wouldn't have sold Luke's ring. And Luke wouldn't be so tacky as to ask for it back.

Heh. Apparently according to Illinois law no wedding, now ring. I guess some guy was suing for his $48,000 ring that his ex-fiance wouldn't give back.

If Jenny Snyder is writing 7.19 that would be good, because I think she wrote Farewell My Pet, and that was one of the best eps all season IMHO. (True, there weren't that many good ones to choose from but still).

These episode descriptions sound like there's alot of good LL stuff coming up. Finally....

So, I was wondering - what is the process for starting threads here - is it correct that anyone can start the next thread as long as they let people know they are doing so? That was my understanding from the mods - just curious. No particular posters are designated to do it, right? I think that is what I recall.

Maybe LL fight over the car, and leave the lot with nothing, and then Lorelai goes back and gets the one that Luke liked best and goes to show him, they take it for a test drive and... uh, make out?
