That makes sense though, Sara. After all, they haven't really had even an opening conversation at this point. I would think that the conversation in the maze is relatively calm, paving the way for the more passionate arguing (or whatever we are calling it). I think it was Mots, a couple of threads ago, who mentioned how odd it was that they would suddenly be all, "Oh, I so sorry. Blahblahblah." out of the blue. I just have to push the real air clearing back an episode mentally. I think it makes more sense the way you think it is going.

I kind of always had the impression that the 7.18 talk would be kind of sweet - get out the apologies, polite conversation, very easy.

...But that's not really LL is it? So I really like the idea (and I think it makes sense) that they then need a "fight" to really get things out. That's how they've always been when they were at their best, wasn't it? Not necessarily fighting, but bantering, honest communication, calling each other out on their ****. Even though that isn't usually simple, easy, civil or polite.

Okay, I'm really getting excited now. It's official!

I am so looking forward to them bantering again. I forgot how much I miss it. There are so many things in their friendship that is sorely missed. The no cell phones in the diner, the faces they made at each other, the just "getting" each other. Luke giving in to whatever Lorelai wanted and her knowing it.

I hope Luke is there, but when I asked MA the question it sounded more like he was guess Luke would be there and Rory would ask.

OT - Has MA come out about the proposal and NO yet or just that R&L break up in 21?

I told my unspoiled friend today, "I don't even care if they get back together [total lie, but she is unspoiled and wants to remain so], but she has to go back to the diner. Yesterday, if possible." (Actually, she is "spoiled" in that she saw the in two weeks promo. That is what led to that discussion.)

its about freaking time. These two need to learn to communicate and lorelai needs to bury her "Woe-is me, the universe is out to get to me" attitude. Its partially what led to her end of the mess. She needs to grow some confidence. If there is a season 8. I hope Luke encourages her to seek therapy and helps her realize that although he loves her he can't be her replacement for healthy self-esteem.
