I like this spec! I think there's a good chance the fight will be mostly about cars, but then veer into something a little more personal, like how stubborn each thinks the other is, and how they don't know how to communicate their feelings, etc. I don't think it'll get more detailed than that, because the apologies in HBM will have already taken care of the really personal painful stuff. But the fight might still bring up some underlying issues. I love the fact that Lorelai sees it as a good thing; and I agree that it is---the superficialties are finally fading away, and they are being honest with each other again.

I also like the idea of Lorelai buying the car that Luke likes in the end; it's an important way to show him how much she respects his opinion. Maybe she'll get it in the colour that she loves and he hates; that would be a nice compromise!

Well Easter is the start of spring (or something like that) so maybe it's connected, but in all likelihood we won't hear about Easter unless April brigs it up.

And to think...just yesterday I was seriously considering staying away from spoilers for the rest of the season... You can see how well that went!

ETA: I hope that the random April snow today is a good sign for LL. Because I literally can't think of another reason for it to have happened.

I think the fight will probably about the type of vehicle also. I can see Luke choosing something safe and practical and reliable and Lorelai wanting something cute and pretty and totally impractical. But if Lorelai sees the fight as a good sign, maybe it'll be more like the argument in TCATC which was great.

Maybe if we don't get S8 then we'll get a TV movie but when will it be set, Luke and Lorelai's wedding?

OT - why does my DVD not burn at 16x, I have the right DVDs, Drive and software but it took 30 minutes to burn and check one DVD!

I was told that the "fight" was the two of them clearing the air.

And just to cover my butt, Luke is supposed to be at Rory's graduation(as in, that was the original plan). But that could easily change(just like anything else), so please don't shoot me or call me a liar if it does. Now don't freak out because I haven't heard of any changes taking place. I just know that anything is possible.

I cant imagine Luke not being at Rory's graduation. No matter what happens between LL he still loves Rory and im sure she'd definatly want Luke there.

I agree. Didn't we also have a spoiler that Rory is actually the one who invites Luke to the ceremony? I'm speccing he's hesitant because Chris will be there, but I think Rory still convinces him to come.

they're clearing the air again? I thought that's what they were doing in 18 when they talk in the maze.

Yeah, me too...maybe the preliminary, surface-level apologies are in 7.18 and the car shopping fight in 7.19 initiates the REAL apologies?

The one in 7.18 is a rather calm conversation. 7.19 is when they let out their annoyances. But that's only the impression I'm getting, so don't take it as gospel truth.
