So the spec that Luke is trying to get Lorelai into a good car and Lorelai is playing up to annoy him might come true, maybe she makes a joke which is inappropriate given the past year and Luke takes it too serious.

I thinking something like the "Learn to love" book, Luke exploded when Lorelai tried to mock it and later he calms down and they talk and dance

BTW this is just SPEC for anyone reading this from TWoP!

When did LG sign for S8? Cause why on earth would she when probably knowing all along that AB might not?

Oooh, so excited about LL fighting. Finally some real emotion and communication from them. I love when LL fight! I mean, as long as it ends positively. But some of their best chemistry comes from fights. It's going to be good.

I can just see Luke stomping away to go look at another car or something and the camera stays on Lorelai and we see her smiling. Ah, fun.

Key word: might not. We don't know a fraction of what goes on in the negotiations. LG can still sign knowing that AB might not want to. They need to get them to sign but I am also thinking they are using LG to pressure AB. Not her as a person but the fact that everyone is signed must put pressure on AB. And her, LG's, producer title was one way to help convince her to do another year I think. Good for her when its what she wants to do. I have no beef with LG producing GG episodes at all if it came to that.

LL fighting is definitely good. Hee. Writing that and it seemed weird.. we are excited about them fighting?? lol

Yep, that's the news I got, but really it's nothing we have not been expecting that the degree to which L&L are together is tied to S8.

So we either get more L&L now or wait for S8. Only problem I see is since all but the final is shot so unless L&L are back together already then a last minute hook up is very likely.

But with the "Rory 2 part 21-22 final" it's a really toss up now, unless DSR can successfully have 2 main SLs running side-by-side!

Me neither. Since the moment LG became a producer the dialogue for Lorelai seemed to improve 10 fold. She stopped being so babbly and actually started saying words and sentences without it being noise. I have to give that credit to LG I think. So hopefully her input in S8 would be just as successful.

And, dude, it should not be snowing on April 5th. What's the deal?

Agreed. I am not scared of LG producing. Lorelai was a pain in the youknowwhat in the fist half of the season and you are right that it changed around the time LG got her producer credit. Lorelai is not irritating anymore and I actually have like the writing and the character much more lately.

Plus everything aside LG is not a stupid woman. She knows what the fans want and she for one should know the character and inner workings of Lorelai better than anyone. LG having input in her character can only be a good thing.

My gut feeling is pretty good at this stage. I'm up at 80/20 in favour of S8.

Regarding L/L being all awkward and uncomfortable around each other in 7.19, I bet it's because they are trying too hard to be nice and sweet and agreeable to each other, for fear that they will hurt each other again. But that is SO not them and when they start bickering again, Lorelai is relieved that they are back to their old routine. Thus the title, Just Like Riding a Bike.

And yes, IA about the idiocy that is AI. That is why I am sticking to watching Apolo shake his groove thing on DWtS.

Good morning. Thanks for the episode description vaso.

Lorelai goes back to the diner for the first time, asks Luke to help her shop for a new car and secretly takes their fight as a good sign.

Uhm, sounds to me like Lorelai is making all the moves on a more cautious Luke (as usual) and is impatient and secretly happy to get back on track with him.
