I can't believe AB makes $240,000/ep either! I was just reading that Kiefer Sutherland makes only $400K/ep on 24 and that's a much bigger show than GG.

I'm very curious about the flow of ep 21 now, is the graduation going to be right in the beginning now, leaving the rest of the ep for the Rory Logan stuff? And are the families not at the lunch thing where he supposedly proposes? And if Rory has to call Lorelai to tell her about the job, do LL and the Gilmore's take off right after the ceremony? Kinda confused now, I do have this picture in my head of Rory calling to say she's catching a plane and missing some sort of surprise party.

The only upside to even the "bad" spoilers is they are still saying L&L end up together and at this point that's the best we can hope for.

There was an article in a recent EW about how big a deal it was that Kyra Sedgwick was getting $250,000 an episode for The Closer after only her second season. She claimed that she was the reason the network (TNT?) had made it's turn around and was now a major player or something of the like. After that happened, apparently, many lead actresses from the CW and Showtime started piping up stating that if KS could make that kind of money, why couldn't they - obviously more seasoned in the TV business?

I would assume LG, AB, possibly KB (Bell not Bishop) and most likely the lead from... uh.. is it Weeds on Showtime? were the ones who started asking questions.

ETA: But now that 7th Heaven is gone, they should split SC salary between LG and AB.

Maybe this gossip about how much money AB is making is being done to paint her as the bad guy here - as in how could someone making so much money turn down another season kind of thing. Sounds like hooey to me.

Mary Louise Parker? I actually watched my first episode of the closer last night. Random and not important.

I don't care how much they make. As long as it is not the money that makes them say no I'm good. Whatever reason AB or LG has, its ultimately their lives and they have to look after themselves.

I'd be surprised if Alexis makes as much as $70,000/episode since as far as I know the cast hasn't renegotiated their contracts since S1 and Alexis was a complete novice at the time.

Also we had several set reports with photos last week which had Rory and Logan alone when he proposed with a carriage and horses standing by. I don't believe that report for a minute.

I couldn't agree more! Even though I would love another season ... if AB and/or LG decide not to go forward with another one, there will be absolutely no judgement from me. It ain't my life and well, they don't owe me one thing! I don't need an explanation/a reasoning or anything. It is totally their call and not mine. Would I be dissapointed if there would be no season 8, even though I am slowly starting to accept that ... yeah sure! But resentment towards either one of these actresses for making that decision I feel would be totally uncalled for. Because it is their life/their decision PERIOD ... or well, imo ...

Even if LG/AB haven't negotiated new contracts since season one, the contracts I'm sure include incremental payment increases probably based on performance of the show, etc. I think I recall years ago reading that in season one we heard that LG was getting $40,000 per episode - I'm sure it has increased a lot since then.

If any of that is true, why is Logan toasting and thanking professors, when it's not his graduation? And if Rory leaves in 7.21, then the Bon Voyage title wouldn't be referring to her would it? Unless 7.22 picks up where 7.21 leaves off.

If 7.21 does end with Rory calling Lorelai to say a rushed goodbye, I hope Lorelai is with Luke, or goes to find Luke, because she'll be one sad mama.
