Episode 7.18: Hay Bale Maze

The CW: LORELAI AND LUKE CLEAR THE AIR ?? As Stars Hollow prepares for its annual Spring Fling festival, Rory (Alexis Bledel) brings Logan (Matt Czuchry) home and shows him around town. Lorelai (Lauren Graham) sees how serious their relationship has become and worries that Logan is too irresponsible for Rory. Taylor (Michael Winters) angers the town by spending the entire Spring Fling budget on a huge hay bale maze. At an unexpected encounter in the maze, Lorelai and Luke (Scott Patterson) apologize to one another and admit they both made mistakes that lead to the end of their engagement. Meanwhile, Rory has a job interview with the Providence Journal-Bulletin and struggles with decisions about her future. Melissa McCarthy, Yanic Truesdale, Liza Weil and Sean Gunn also star. Just wanted to tell you guys not to let mozzerella's post on twop spoil your enjoyment of the last few episodes. He/she is a very bitter C/L shipper who claims to have an accurate source yet never bothers to post a spoiler unless it has an anti-LL slant. I'm not saying the info isn't true, just that the intentions of this poster are pretty transparent (and a little pathetic) IMO. I'm not sure why he/she still watches the show now that the C/L ship is dead and buried.

It's true, that poster has an anti-L/L bias. I don't know if she is exactly doing it on purpose but it seems like she has some need to "ruin" Luke and Lorelai scenes for the shippers. Not mature.

I don't know why these rumours about Scott Patterson and Lauren Graham keep going around. I have to admit that I'm pretty good at sizing up people and I don't think they really love being around each other. But I'm also pretty sure that "hate" is extreme. And even if they did really dislike each other, they shouldn't be letting that get in the way of the show and their scenes together. And even if the poster/her source had accurate information about them really disliking each other, they shouldn't be sharing it.

That same poster has said things like Lauren Graham has asked not to be in scenes with Scott, they really don't get along, etc. She may be telling exactly what her source said, but there's a good chance her source is exaggerating just because it's fun to spread these little rumours. (Or the source actually heard something from Lauren Graham and blew it out of proportion.)

One of the other reasons I wouldn't believe all the information in that "spoiler" is that this poster has said twice now that, according to her source, Alexis and Lauren have said they're "done" but negotiations are still going on. That doesn't make sense. You can't negotiate with people who have said they are absolutely not interested in returning.

And, that information about Lauren Graham never in a million years doing a show where Luke and Lorelai had a baby? That doesn't make sense either, she's worked with him before, it's just acting and unless she thought the character of Luke was just wrong for Lorelai (which I'm sure she doesn't) what would be the problem?

And finally, I completely doubt she would ask for a whole script to be rewritten. Can actors even do that? I think there's a lot of exaggeration here. There may be truth, too, but even if anyone had truly accurate information about Scott and Lauren's relationship, it's petty for them to be divulging it.

I posted in over on the R&L thread since it's mainly about the Rory SL and possible scenes. But they did say FND was set up with 4 places, so I'm guessing just the girls and not Luke (or Chris) maybe the parents don't know yet?
