Episode 7.18: Hay Bale Maze

The CW: LORELAI AND LUKE CLEAR THE AIR ?? As Stars Hollow prepares for its annual Spring Fling festival, Rory (Alexis Bledel) brings Logan (Matt Czuchry) home and shows him around town. Lorelai (Lauren Graham) sees how serious their relationship has become and worries that Logan is too irresponsible for Rory. Taylor (Michael Winters) angers the town by spending the entire Spring Fling budget on a huge hay bale maze. At an unexpected encounter in the maze, Lorelai and Luke (Scott Patterson) apologize to one another and admit they both made mistakes that lead to the end of their engagement. Meanwhile, Rory has a job interview with the Providence Journal-Bulletin and struggles with decisions about her future. Melissa McCarthy, Yanic Truesdale, Liza Weil and Sean Gunn also star. OT - I just stating to watch this weeks Lost, um why do they need to have a shot of the Sydney harbour to make the point they are in Australia? Now I don't live in Sydney but I'm sure there are no studios where they showed, correct me if I'm wrong.

Also I do remember one scene they had a shot from a hotel room with the bridge in the background, out the window. I know for a fact if that was true the hotel with be in the water.

Okay back on topic, L&L will look great at the graduation with Lorelai on Luke's arm again and maybe a little PDA, holding hand, a quick kiss, Lorelai pinching Luke's butt LOL

This is all so pathetic - after nearly a full season of no L/L scenes with any real substance and lasting no more than a minute or so, I'm not gonna be happy with any of the crumbs DR has in store for us - whether it is before 7.22 or in the finale - this just makes me bitter that I'm expected to be grateful because he is getting them together at all at the end of the series after wasting most of the season on pure dreck.

Whatever L/L does/doesn't do will never be satisfying - when I so wanted to see a year of them really together and dealing with all the family issues as well as their own plans for their future....there was a lot to do with having them married for one year - it probably could have been a lot of fun mixed with humor if the show had a decent writer.

I'm resigned to some horrid quickie resolution as in Everwood with Andy and Nina whom I didn't care about - thankfully. It seemed forced and silly to me. Oh well, I knew I wasn't happy about Rina Mimoun being involved in GG all along.

Rant over. Pfttt.

If you look down this page at post 185 there is a link to a new trailer thanks to Nadine but be warned it's 80 plus Mb in size and .mov format.

Also Canopus did the caps.

Back on topic, I'm not worried about the Everwood stuff, this was the sources POV and we know it's a "romantic" ending so unless it's a quickie in ep 22 IMO it will be good if not great.

I don't get it. Two days ago everyone was upbeat and excited over the stuff that's coming in the next few episodes. Now we get confirmation of what we pretty much knew all along and everyone's ready to form a mass suicide pact?

We were never, ever guaranteed that we were going to see the "middle." Never. Yes, I hated that DR spent most of the season dragging out L/C, but if he hadn't done that, he would have found something else. L/L were never going to be back together before the last few episodes of the season/series. That's the way television works, kids.

No complains on my part since we'll get the middle next season.
How far they take LL this season however is another question. I think a proposal is a must or at least something that shows us they are heading into that direction.
