Vaso, the ratings are for the rerun, not for a new episode, and are therefore lower. I don't, however, know if they're considered low or not regarding GG reruns.

The ones for the repeat? They're not the bad. All the repeats this season have been getting in the 2 million, or even down in the high 1 million range. So this ep was right in the middle. Some repeats had higher numbers, some had lower.

I don't know if they are markably lower than other re-runs in the past but FT apparently was not much different from last weeks numbers.

I don't know if it's a goo sign that "Pussy" increased it's audience so much but it is a re-run v "hot new show" so I guess it's expected.

BTW - in it's first run FT got about 4.5 million.

I really do think TPTB are not going to make an official announcement until the upfronts because by then the show will be over and they won't have to deal with a bunch of attention about how the series "might" end - it will have already ended. I don't believe for a second that they don't already know the fate of the show - obviously, anything is possible, but something about this whole thing is odd.

DR months ago said he would write the last episode for this year as one that could be either a season or a series finale and I think that is exactly what is he doing and for whatever reason they would rather the official announcement comes out after the end of the show. Gut feeling is all. My gut has been wrong before - thankfully - but, sadly, not often.

ETA: How often do they make decisions about the fate of a show after the season is over? I just saw the news about show renewals on ABC and FOX - I can't recall a decision not being released until the season is done - but, I have a foggy memory at times.

The only problem with them not telling us it's over is it doesn't give the fans a chance to say goodbye in a good way, some shows when they end have final episode parties with photo ops for the press.

But I guess it's better than something like 7th happening, we say goodbye and it comes back again!

I'm looking at it like these are the 5 last eps, if we get S8 then great!

I agree - it's a crappy thing to do to let fans of the show hanging and hoping - but I no longer expect anything different out of this crew - they haven't been particularly sensitive or concerned about fan reaction to anything for a long time now - so, this wouldn't surprise me.

I too consider this the end and if it comes back, fine; if not, I won't be surprised.

Even with this year's lower numbers, GG is usually considered a lead-in. It's unusual for the following show to get more viewers, as PussyCats did this week.

I want pictures of LL while they are car shopping... or on their way to car shopping. Or.. uh... whenever else. Just as long as we get some image showing LL together, lol.

I still haven't given up on an 8th season. I think if this would have been the final season, the cast wouldn't have been so wishy-washy. I'd like to think they'd go into the final season knowing it was the final season. I feel like after 7 years, you don't want to end your show with a so-so series finale. You want to know it's your final season so you can plan the series finale appropriately and not at the last minute. I mean, unless the series is getting cancelled. But I think that even the people playing the characters would want a chance for proper closure with the series, their characters etc.
