It's Gilmore Girls for a reason. The basis was about Lorelai and Rory. And for Rory to be largely out of the series, it would lose it's luster. Sure Rory hasn't been part of Stars Hollow in four years, except for some visits. She's still a big part of the show. And I don't think the show would do well with the focus largely on Lorelai and very little on Rory. If they wanted a Rory-lite or no Rory season, they should create a spin-off. But not in a show that is called Gilmore Girls. Yes Emily, is a Gilmore. But not what the show was about in the beginning. And what the basis of the show was created in... JMO! | |||

| Just wanted to add -- if you haven't posted to the Gg vs VM thread already at TV Guide Community: CW Pitting <i>Mars</i> vs <i>Girls</i>? Plus: Kudrow on <i>Grey's</i> 2.0?, please go post there now. It seems to me to be a fairly even split between Gg fans, VM fans and Gg fans who are voting for VM out of irrational spite. | Honestly those dudes should stop talking about the show. They don't even watch it or pay attention while watching. They don't know the names of some characters or who they are. Last time it was Mia this time they didn't even know Liz's name. | I wonder what MA found out within the last few days that changed his mind so much. Last week he was all "if so many people want a show back, it will be back" and now he's gone 180 degrees in the other direction.
