What if the day was just great. Luke brings Lorelai home after she bought the car. She invites him in and they have tea/coffee and a nice talk. They enjoy each others company and one things leads to another and they kiss. They are both kind of shocked and Luke says he can't do it, it's too soon, he needs time to process things and he leaves. Lorelai gets angry at herself and the situation and how stupid she was playing house with Chris. Her eyes travel through the room, land on the flat screen that still screams Chris and the doll house is just another reminder and she takes it out on the house.
Luke is halfway to the diner and Partings comes to his mind again and he turns around and heads back to the CS. He has to act, has to do something because he can't lose her again.

I think that apologies on both sides will go a long way, for me at least, to accepting L/L getting back together. For Lorelai's and Luke's journey to mean something, they have to learn something, and also be accountable for their mistakes. To be accountable, a person has to admit to their mistakes. It doesn't have to be a novel, but a line or two will suffice. Everything that has happened for the last year is too big to not have some type of explanation. Subtle hints aren't going to cut it this time around.

I'm also hoping that MA's joke about the evil spirit means that Lorelai will give us some insight into her thought processes, or lack thereof, the night of Partings.

I really haven't had a problem with the choice of sl, I've just had a problem in that I haven't understood it many times. I'm an analytical type person, and I like to understand things. It doesn't have to be Everwood, but a little explanation will make me a very happy viewer. Many posts here and elsewhere help me understand, however, I want to see it. Posts just aren't the same as seeing it on screen.

I don't mean to be negative, but I think that fans will be happier with L/L if we get some understanding as to their motivations, especially Lorelai's.

Reminds me of the scene in Raincoats and Recipes where Lorelai said she didn't know what he was doing officially and he said the comment about having a "ref" present. LOL

Maybe they get hot and heavy but don't discuss logistics?

Hey, I'd buy it. The bigger the better. Actually, I want the *big* announcement to be the wedding. They should announce it at a town meeting or something. Aw...now my wedding specs are back. Can you imagine Stars Hollow turning inside out tryng to get ready for this wedding? Everyone would be in such high spirits.

genki - I've found the BWR website to have much better quality fan fiction than FF.net because of their screening process - someone actually reads the submissions before they're posted. Anyway, anything by buckice, tashalaw or avery (check out their most recent L/L reunion spec fics, especiall Avery's "Her Last Happy Ending". But, warning. The reunion we'll actually get probably won't have nearly as much thought as some of these fanfics. There are some amazing writers out there!)
