I think the only satisfying series end ive seen is Sex and the City. Carries last VO is just so lovely.

So, whoever posted that fan fic a few threads back, 'its right there'...thanks. Ive been up till 3 the past few nights unable to stop reading and now im on the sequel 'its still there'.
Probably the best fan fic ive ever read. The dialouge in it, its just so spot on, and most of it is laugh out loud funny. Id feel much more confidant about L/L reconcile if the person that wrote the fan fic was in the room with DR and Co.

Exactly Cappu, thats why GG will never be the same again for me.....Lorelai will never be the same again.....she boinked and then married Dopey....thats what I can´t get out of my head.....and thats why I hope when LL get back together, they´ll move into a new house.....and I hope that we´ll have to see Dopey´s stupid face for only one last ep, Rory´s graduation, and not in S8.....

And I´ll just erase 6.10-7.14 from my mind....

OT - I notice the face Lorelai pulls at "Winkies" in the last ep was only in the promo and not in the ep...

Well for me Lorelai is just destroyed - thanks to Amy by letting her jump that idiot. Everything Rosie did to her character was just - well so what she has lost it anyway. Honestly that woman doesn't deserve anyone anymore after that. She should have stick to Mr. Too Stupid for this World because they so deserve each other and my first thought after Partings was: I hope she gets pregnant again from that loser.

Yeah Amy did a wonderful job of breaking my JJ heart and nothing will EVER be the same for me. That's the reason why I can't watch any episodes from the past anymore. Lorelai just disgusts me whenever she is going to Luke her "best" friend seeking for comfort, safety and what not. Nice way to treat your best friend when he doesn't jump if you want him to

Sure Luke was no angle concerning April and how he handled the situation but that guy was never a kids guy and he was only open to that topic to the one person he saw himself having kids with and then all of a sudden he has a turtle. I'm glad something like that can't happen to me cause I would know if I pushed a human being out of me. I don't want to have kids and I give anyone a jam hands rant out of nowhere if the kids topic comes up so I know how Luke must have felt when he got the news. I can sympathize with him but what Lorelai did was just beyond me and I never thought she would do something like that. When I saw 6.10 and heard Chis' I want to take care of YOU, you and Rory my stomach just turned up side down and I felt sick but I thought: No way is Amy going to to something like that. I knew it right there and then but I dismissed it, I just didn't want to listen to my gut feeling - well we all know how that turned out

because its all true - a destroyed woman - but i am glad she didnt' get pregnant the second time because that would have been to much fatal attraction for me

IMO Lorelai was justified in walking away in Partings, but it was just such a low move going to Christopher. Although Luke totally deserved a night of wondering and feeling like crap (he really did), it's just a low blow that she went to the one man Luke felt threatened by.

The thing is, Lorelai didn't even want to see Chris after what happened. It wasn't until Luke told her that she and Chris belonged together that she called him back, and even then she looked unhappy about it.

But all of Lorelai's decisions since walking away from Luke in Partings have been ridiculous, and completely not-thought-out. Chris took advantage of the situation too. Lorelai was looking for a friend, and she probably went to Chris because it would hurt Luke, but I have no doubt in my mind that she had no intention of sleeping with the dude. He got her drunk and then had sex with her, and that was a bad decision on both of their parts (because Lorelai is FAR from innocent).

I would LOVE to see Lorelai go back and grovel at Luke's feet. He made insanely bad mistakes by not including Lorelai, but he deserves a little bit of sucking up from Lorelai to make up for the way she chose to get back at him.

I'd also like to see Luke ask Lorelai to be a part of April's life, cause that would prove that he's grown not only as a father, but a person.

Lorelai, if anything, has regressed this season. She became weak and allowed Christopher to make every decision in their relationship. Even the break up was initiated by him. She's just lost that strength that we've loved about her since the beginning.

Blah, I don't know what I want. Obviously Luke and Lorelai need to get back together, but Lorelai has got to get back to who she was, because the person she is now isn't the person Luke loves. He loves that strong woman who is willing to make her own decisions, and be tough when necessary. Luke loves the same Lorelai we all love.

Enough ramblings for now.

I think we are negative because it's a hiatus. We've exhausted the speccing on current spoilers, so naturally we go back to discussing the first half of the season. Which was so bad, it would even make Pollyanna negative.

I think what we will get from Lorelai in L/L's discussion is that when Luke excluded her from his life, she fell out of love with him. To her being excluded was being mistreated, and even though she did love him, being mistreated killed the love. For example, if one partner was abusive, the love would die. I know Luke wasn't abusive, but to Lorelai what he was doing was horrible. (Disclaimer: I personally didn't think Luke's actions were that bad, I'm just trying to explain her POV).

She was questioning his love for her, and her love for him, and ended up questioning her earlier decision of not getting involved with Chris. All due to the cotillion and believing that perhaps her faulty decision making was due to rebellion against her parents. Throw in some unresolved feelings for Chris, a desire to have the whole package, and a fear of being alone, and you have one hasty, ill advised marriage. And since she didn't feel any love for Luke, we didn't see any.

However, I think it was a storytelling mistake to not go more in depth as to why the marriage failed. We know he was the rebound guy, she just jumped, he was second choice, and she didn't love him enough, and he wasn't dependable. However, I've realized this from reading different L/L boards. The writers were too subtle, and it all should have been brought out more clearly.

Also, as ciao said, one minute she's all lovey dovey with Chris, the next minute it isn't right. If they had been more clear in the lead up, instead of too subtle, we wouldn't be left feeling like we have whiplash from following Lorelai's back and forth.
