Firstly, what does OOC mean?

I think if Lorelai is able to convey to Luke the deep despair she was feeling, he can trust her. Honestly, I think he is beginning to see how he screwed up on his own though. Unlike everyone else, I kinda understood what she went through with Christopher. It's scary being alone as you age and having people always worrying about who is going to find your dead body. I think she felt no one would want her but Christopher. I can empathize. Maybe it is because I have known people in their 30's and 40's who have lost hope in finding Mr. Right and settle. Lorelai still has a lot of explaining to do though.

We'll never really know what ASP would have done. I'm not so sure she would have made it any better. Let's see how the last 5 eppys. play out and then judge DSR on the whole season. What do you think?[/QUOTE]

What I really didn't like with C&L hooking up is how quick, I mean she has some realization in ep 3 which never really played out IMO. And calls Dopey kinda like it was meant to be and the only reason she never did before is because Emily would approve, that is just the start of weak ass Lorelai for the season IMO. She never had time alone to think and morn the loss of Luke. I know it was another 6 weeks of dating before she bed him but even that seamed rushed 'cause in the car she didn't want to and Chris agreed, then hours later she wanted him and worst of all in the house Luke practically re-built while waiting for R&L to make up. Where the frak was Chris for that!

ASP ran out of idea's in S6, and reports are she planned the break up from the start of the season. DSR just didn't have any good ideas for most of the season and could only see one outcome which IMO is just typical Hollywood crappy writing/storytelling.

You know, Craig, I always felt that Chris was pushing himself on her. Even that scene on the doorstep when she finally gives in and lets him come in. I never felt she was comfortable with any of it. She didn't even look happy after she got married. Her behavior said "Okay, I married this jerk and now I have to be committed to it." She didn't even want to renew her vows in front of her family. I stick by what I said. I think she hooked up with him because she didn't think anyone else would ever want her.

ETA At least ASP didn't go down the road of having Luke leave Lorelai for Anna. That is where I thought we were headed for the longest time last year. I was sick to my stomach!

So you could loosely translate it as "Out Of Coffee" as well.

To screw with us!

We knew before that ep went to air that the dress was not gonna return and it was just loaned for the ep and photos.

It was not a good sign!

This is why the season and Lorelai is so uneven, she didn't look happy in FT at the end and admitted that she could have been talked out of it, but in then end still wanted to work it out even if it didn't feel right and could end up hurting them more. I understand wanting not to fail and this may be the only reason for the final scene in ep 14 but is it enough to stick with something that bad just 'cause you don't want to fail again?

Thank God (or DSR) for small miracles!

For me, nothing DSR has done this year even comes close to the way Luke was made to look like a horse's ass last year with April. IMHO, "real" Luke would have wanted Lorelai's help in dealing with April, but that didn't fit with ASP's plan.

I say phooey on Amy! But I did like DP's work.

Again ASP screwing with our minds.

This is why we thought she might want to elope, pity it was 7 eps late and the wrong guy!

Okay I'm out of a while, any updates PM me and I'll do them later.

ETA - Yes nst I have those shots and can just just post a link for those of us on slow connections or put it in a photobucket account and link the thumbenail.

What's done is done... unfortunately we cannot change it at this point. There are still 5 episodes left, and right now seem to have HUGE LL potential. We only know part of the skeleton of LL interaction. We might find out more stuff when we actually see them talk more and more in the coming episodes.

I think we will see more results of Lorelai's "journey" as well. I can see ways she has grown this season, especially since Chris left. I think she's realized a lot about herself and her family, especially Emily. At this point, I think her "journey" is over, but we will see her reveal what she's learned over the next several episodes when it comes to rebuilding a relationship with Luke, changing her relationship with Rory, and strengthening her relationship with Emily.

nst, I LOVE that picture!! I really hope we get that 8th season so that Celine can help her pick out a prettier dress though... that one was, uh, not very flattering
