I'm not a fan of Lorelai's new vehicle. Besides it being enormous...it's just plain ugly, lol. Eh well, maybe it will grow on me. I miss the Jeep already, lol.

Oh and put me down as one who is confused as to how the dollhouse gets destroyed. Doesn't seem like a Lorelai thing to do especially to something she loves.

It's a stretch, but...
Maybe... just maybe... Luke and Lorelai get into the fight after they purchase the vehicle and the fight starts with Luke being uncomfortable walking into the CS. Then they say some things to each other and Lorelai goes into the living room (while Luke supposedly walks back home) and Lorelai sits on the couch and takes the remote to turn on the TV but since she's still pumped up by the argument, she throws the remote at the wall and the remote falls hard on the dollhouse (although, I can't imagine that heavy dollhouse could be that fragile) and it breaks part of it. Lorelai gets all sad... and is like "oh no" and then someone knocks on the door and Lorelai walks over to open the door with a piece of the dollhouse. It's Luke... and he starts off saying "I shouldn't have walked away..." but is interrupted by sad-faced Lorelai and the piece of the dollhouse. He asks her what happened and she says she accidentally broke it... then he takes charge and walks over and takes a look at the dollhouse... and TADA! He says he'll fix it.

That's my early morning speculation for ya.

She has a great day with Luke. They go car shopping, have fun like in the old days and when she comes home - the house is empty, she is all alone. No hubby, no kids on the way. She's turning 39. The clock is ticking and the man she loves is just her friend and she thinks that's all Luke will ever be to her. Then she sees the doll house and it's just mocking her. The house represents everything she could have had with Luke: a home, kids, someone who finds the body when you died.
Knowing the townies they will probably talk about them and what's up with them. Maybe Patty or Babette even ask her if they are back together and she has to say no we're just friends. Frustration building up inside of her and now she even has a family car in the driveway - ready to be filled with kids, Luke and her kids. So she takes it out on the house.
I can even imagine Luke coming over - either she called him or Babette sees or hears Lorelai and she calls Luke - either way Luke is coming to the house and sees what she has done and then she tells him everything. That she still loves him and she wanted to have his kid(s) and be married to him - she still wants all of that but she can't have it because he doesn't love her or want her anymore. Luke just stands there and lets her rant for a bit and then he just grabs her and kisses her

The guide said that the gazebo was moved, but you'd never notice it on screen because of the way they were filming. He didn't think it was moved for storyline purposes, just because of shooting purposes. I don't know if he knew that for sure or not though. Since it did stay sitting in front of Mrs. Kims. It's all back in place now though. Looking nice and gazebo-y.

I wish the flatscreen wasn't still there, I have a much better time thinking that it wasn't fixed to the wall properly and it fell on the dollhouse.

Oh I don't know Elle, (not to go round that tree again but..) She didn't seem to mind destroying Luke when she walked away from him and sleeping with Christopher an hour or so later.

( I know Luke wasn't letting her in his and April's life.

Thanks to all for all the little spoilers. This waiting to hear what is happening about a S8 is just as bad as wondering what DR done with the show so far.

I'm really curious as to how Lorelai is going to tell Luke she was wrong about sleeping with Chris in Partings - isn't that what MA said would be a part of their upcoming "talk"? And, if she says that was wrong, what the heck is she gonna say about marrying the guy?? I can't for the life of me imagine this as some sort of quickie "oops, boy did I mess up" kind of talk - she married someone else! If I were Luke I'd have a hell of a time wrapping my mind around that.

I know they are going to have to play it all down or the show won't move along quickly, but still, her marrying Chris is just too big a thing for me to shrug my shoulders at....

I think Lorelai regrets what she did to Luke very much. They both feel horrible for how their relationship ended. They were both to blame. But after everything that happened, they are slowly finding their way back to each other. That says more to me then what happened to destroy their relationship in the first place.

I think Lorelai regrets what she did to Luke very much. They both feel horrible for how their relationship ended. They were both to blame. Sorry Elle, alittle bitterness is still there. I want a S8, just so L/L can get more together screen time like that other person got as a decent DR loving couple and now we don't know if they will.

I completely agree with this sentiment. For me, the most frustrating thing about the past season has been the destruction of Lorelai's credibility. I just don't believe her any more. I don't want to belabor this point but, while acknowledging Luke's part in the disintegration of the relationship, Lorelai's decisions to first bed and then wed Christopher simply made very little sense to me. We can blame the writers (particularly Amy) for setting this up in Season 6 and taking it too far this season, but now those same writers need to step up and give us an explanation. I miss pulling for Lorelai, flaws and all. I want to be able to respect her again. And I don't want to have to interpret glances and "wanting to want" speeches and car analogies. I want Lorelai to explain it to Luke (and, ergo, to me) in so many words. I don't need sackcloth and ashes, but I do think we deserve to hear a frank and open discussion between these two - not a "let's talk"-fade-to-black/knowing glances after the fact cop-out.
