Its just like riding a bike probably refers to her becoming friends again with Luke.
We had a great tour. They were filming inside Sookies and off on location at Griffith Park in the morning. Didn't see anybody but got to walk on most of the sets. Luke's was closed though.

So I was wrong (nothing new) maybe next time I SPEC think the opposite!

So I guess the question is why does she need a new car, does she want a change or did the Jeep finally die. I guess the running out of fuel didn't help. SPEC (for what it's worth) the teaser of 7.19 will be the Jeep dying or not starting in the morning, maybe Gypsy checking it?

BTW - I wonder if they took this SL from real life?

ETA - Maybe the teaser is Lorelai riding up to the diner

The whole car/bike thing is in ep. 19, actually. So it would have to be the teaser of ep. 19, or maybe sometime in ep. 18.

That talk they have in ep. 18 must be a great one, if it not only gets her comfortable to go back to the diner, but also ask him for help with a car when she could have had anyone else (rory, sookie, jackson) to help her out.

So what to see what car Lorelai gets and will E&R have a say or want to get here one? Maybe she needs to co-sign a loan again?

SPEC - While Lorelai might want something pretty and the right color Luke will be after something with great mileage and safe, I wonder if the fight is Luke wants her to get a family car but Lorelai wants something sporty or another Jeep and they get into a fight about their feelings. I just hope they open up and realize their feeling for each other again.

So tomorrow Ausiello with break the big news about the car for Lorelai I guess LOL

That's what i'm thinking too. I can't really put together a full spec on this, though, since so much depends on that conversation in ep. 18. I can see Luke, almost subconsciously getting upset over her not wanting a family car. Even if Luke's not really thinking about a future with Lorelai, all of a sudden seeing her going after a two seater or something like that might get him upset. maybe that could lead to them opening up about their intentions.

It could be as simple as him wanting to get her the safest car there, and her not understanding all his concerns about her, and that leading to them opening up more about their feelings.

Or, in the true style of GG this season, they could fight over better car color, nothing deeper than that, and then choose a car and be done with it.

So now we know that both the fight AND the car shopping are LL. I think I'm excited!

Now...do we think that the fight is during the car shopping? As some have specced, maybe they are having a fight about the cars that is really a thinly veiled personal fight and it causes them to get some stuff out into the open since it's "healthy."

I would love that - a good fight that gets things out. I've always loved the way LL were able to call each other on their ****. They started getting into problems when they stopped doing that. It sure would be nice to see that again.

I wonder what kind of place they will be in by 7.20? Because it sounds as if the "healthy" fight will be resolved later in 7.19 so...where do they stand after that?

I'm anticipating!

i'm really curious about the 7.18 convo now that leaves them in a good enough place to eat in the diner and AND go car shopping. I wonder if it's at the end of 18 or the beginning and there's gonna be more LL in 7.18 than we anticipated.
